  1. Mmm I've always wondered what what a Z with a VG30E Maxima drive train would be like.
  2. Looks like it's in decent condition especially the interior. Are you looking for new wheels or like 15" turbo wheels ?
  3. I think the speed sensor is for Cruise control and speed related voice warnings. (door is open, E-Brake etc) And you can replace the radio and apparently the center speaker but as long as the wiring is there there and a speaker i guess the VWS works. Also I have a 130MPH gauge for sale cheap (just what I got it at the yard for), the speed needle is broken but you can just glue it back on
  4. I have 4 swastika wheels that I want to have the lip polished and the face "machined" with the grooves painted black. and I got a quote of $85.00 per wheel. What do you think about that price, too much too little ?
  5. Here is the ad http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/574360541.html
  6. okay so a 74k mile 4A-GE is a steal then right ?
  7. Yeah I wish the appearance was in better condition and RWD but i might get a Celica instead like an 84 so I don't know.
  8. I have an opportunity to buy a 1989 Toyota Corolla GTS with a 4A-GE and 74k miles, the interior is faded and a tear in the carpet, and a bit of rust by the sun roof. Also the clutch has been replaced. and the paint is in fairly good condition. And it's for $1800 OBO, what should I look for in this car. My MR2 firned said it was a pretty good deal but i'm just curious. of and if someone can carfax JT2AE98C4K3248142 for me please that would be great.
  9. Could someone look up a car for me on carfax please heres the VIN JT2AE98C4K3248142 Thanks for any help.
  10. My 83 NA idles at 1k for a little while, and never above. and the car has been garaged for the last half of it's life so it might be safe to assume that that is normal ?
  11. RB powered I've seen many epsilion Mesh wheels but I've never once seen the center caps for sale. But you might want to check http://forums.club4ag.com/zeromain?id=3 or http://www.takumiproject.com/products.asp Best of luck.
  12. Well I was going to do it yesterday buy someone torqued the fill plug on real tight and couldn't get it off and I even placed a wrench on it and lowered the car to the ground and it didn't break loose. so off to the welder we went.
  13. I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but could you help me with my original one. I figured it would be cheaper, at least that is what i gathered from the insurance sales man in the family. but he didn't specify years.
  14. Well i just bought some Redline MT-90 for my 152k NA 5-Speed and I'm just hoping that I got the right one because it's going to be a pain to exchange it since the dealer is kinda far away. I believe I need either MT-90 or MTL it appears that the only different is MT-90 is 75w90 and MTL is 70w80 I currently have cheap fluid.
  15. what the heck why it would it be more expensive?
  16. Make sure you get the crossmember from the new rack. I hear their different.
  17. Silent is right, i got myself a magnaflow muffler on stock system and its like a new car... quiet.
  18. I'm just going to throw this out there, I have a 1983 280ZX N/A and my exhaust exits on the left (driver)
  19. Also don't forget might be hard to find most of those parts state side. Those vents are stock early model 280ZX vents
  20. Okay I have a DMM and under the OHMΩ section I have this. 20M = 0.00 2000K = 0.00 200K = 0.00 20K = 0.00 2000 ->|- = 025 (and the speaker starts making static) 200 = 5.5, 6.0, 10.3 etc (squiggly line) = 000 I kinda know how to use a DMM but I really have no idea what I'm reading here.
  21. Okay the stock speakers in my S130 say 8-OHM anyways I wasn't able to find new 8-ohm speakers, so I have two options, I have a pair of Jensen Triax II speakers, they look pretty old but have no OHM markings so how could I tell what they are, also how would I go about hooking up new 4-OHM speakers ?
  22. Yeah that thing was kinda hard to read but once I got down there it looked pretty easy I tested the two largest wires with a wire with plugs on both ends and found them, anyways for future reference on starter buttons on 83ZX 5-Speed it's Yellow -> button -> back to other side of yellow White/B -> button -> back to other side of white/B Thanks for your help even though I ended up getting it hopefully this will help other 280ZX users. Also I got the button from autozone for $10.00 and I moved my lighter to the "audio/empty" spot on the other side and put the button where the lighter was.
  23. Well my ignition doesn't really work that well so I bought a starter button and it says to connect it to the starter solenoid and the ignition switch. What wires are they in this diagram, I don't really know how to read these that well so some help would be appreciated.
  24. no pictures here but yeah just look on the interior part of the of the b piller you will see a circle in the plastic panel that pops out with a screw driver.
  25. I personally don't like it. it's too dark.
