  3. To convert to r134a I have read that you can just dump it into the regular system, but you might get a slow leak or a 20% less in efficiency. Do I need to vacuum first before placing r134a in the system?
  4. are these hard to install? would you need new foam padding inserts as well?

  10. I'm getting the last few parts to finish up my '77 280z turbo conversion, and I'm down to just a few more pieces. I'm looking for a stock t3 turbo, fully functional with little to no shaft play, functional wastegate and will not require a rebuild. Then I need a 280zx 5 speed transmission (B/W or T5) if it's the B/W i'll need the driveshaft as well. I also need a turbo oil pan (no rust) and the turbo oil pump. send me PM's with what you got, and we'll go from there.
  11. Its fine, found a deal on a complete motor, harness, ecu for $500 local so i'm just going to buy it, pick off what I need and sell the rest. just seemed cheaper and i'll actually make a profit this way and get all the parts I need.
  12. some of the prices i've been being asked just seem way too high. i'll post up what i'm willing to pay for these parts. 1. 280zxt ignition harness (i have the EFI harness from an '83) ($30) 2. oil pump drive shaft from 82-83 ($30) 3. 6 turbo injectors (working condition, dont require rebuild) (paid $60) 4. knock sensor (paid $5) 5. '82-'83 turbo distributor (I don't need the crank sensor) ($75) 6. O2 sensor from 300zx 87-89 ($15) 7. turbo oil pan ($60) 8. turbo oil pump ($20) 9. turbo TPS ($10) and then add shipping on top of that.
  13. damn, not much activity here. does anyone know where else i could get these things?
  14. I'm looking for one of these spacers http://www.zdriver.com/forums/attachments/280zx-performance-technical-79/6334d1183482179-external-wastegate-turbo_wastegate_adapter_005-jpg Does anyone have one for sale or would offer to make one and sell it? I'd also buy a wastegate as well to go with it too.

'82-'83 turbo distributor (I don't need the crank sensor) 6. O2 sensor from 300zx 87-89 7. turbo oil pan 8. turbo oil pump 9. turbo TPS still need these
  16. Does anyone have one for sale? I need to block off the intake and the exhaust EGR ports.
  17. it has a smaller thread diameter. according to this http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/26230-z31300zx-ecumaf-to-280zxt-swap-guide/page__p__203511#entry203511
  18. I have an '87 Turbo ECU and I'm wondering how anyone could adapt the o2 sensor to fit into the old 280zx o2 sensor. has anyone made any custom threads that would convert the size to fit the '87 o2 sensor?
  19. I'm in the process of a turbo swap in my 280z, and I have a turbo that's in pieces. I've been trying to find guides on rebuilding it, but have failed to find any that are good. Does anyone have a complete break down and rebuild of the turbo charger? Also, where could I get a rebuild kit for this turbo? it's from an '82 280zx turbo.
  20. wow, it's that simple? thought it was more complicated than that, haha. anyone know of a guide to make your own?
