  1. I've got one from a 72 240Z. But I'm in California and the shipping might be high. If you're interested, let me know.
  2. Hooker made a set of long tube headers for the Scarab position. I have a used set -- PM me if interested
  3. That is the transmission kick down cable. for an automatic trans. It links to the carb linkage pivots. What transmission is in the car ?
  4. Sweet !! Sounds like mine -- You've got a nice motor there ! Keep posting your progress !
  5. I've got one, but I'm in California. If you can't find one closer to you, let me know and we'll work something out.
  6. You might try the slave cylinder from a 1974 Datsun B210 4 speed. This bolts on to the stock GM bellhousing and has the correct orientation for the hydraulic line and bleeder. Get one with an adjustable rod and you should have no issues. Scarab Z's use this set up.
  7. I have a set of NOS FIA calipers that I bought as a spare set for my factory Scarab. I've attached photos -- if these are what you're looking for, let me know and we can work out a deal.
  8. FWI -- Scarab Z cars used the slave cylinder from a 1975 Datsun B210 4 speed. It has the bleeder and hydraulic line port on the proper position. If you use the stock 240Z slave cylinder on a Chevy bellhousing, you have "flipped it" over. Try the Datsun B210 slave and you should solve your issue.
  9. Welcome to the factory Scarab owners. As you progress in your restoration, let me offer any assistance and information you may need. you are one of only 20 known VIN Scarab owners. You have a very rare car.
  10. Here are some specs on the FIA set up. They were also used by Scarab Engineering on factory built Scarab Z cars. They do fit on stock rotors -- either solid or vented.
  11. I've got a nice 240Z tank -- Near San Francisco if that's near where you don't want people to know where you are. Shipping could be anything
  12. I don't know what the large part is (possibly a transmission mount) but the rest look like stock SBC side block mounts and Scarab type block to frame mounts
  13. I don't know what the large part is (possibly a transmission mount) but the rest look like stock SBC side block mounts and Scarab type block to frame mounts. Here is a photo of the SBC block mounts attached to Scarab frame mounts.
  14. I had a typo -- the issue is out -- not our -- sorry, fingers moved too fast !
  15. The latest No Limits eMagazine Blog is our. Great stuff and it's all free. Go to www.wildaboutcars.com and sign up
  16. I used a Mallory Unilite Distributor. It's smaller in diameter than the HEI and trouble free.
  17. The Scarab factory VIN plate was placed below the Datsun/Nissan VIN plate on the drivers side rear door frame. If you have any photos of the drivers side with the door open, you might see it. I've only seen one other Scarab (and it was on a 2+2 donor) with two double rows of louvers on the hood. Most have two single rows. See if you can find more info/photos
  18. Do you remember the Scarab VIN# -- the car might be in the Scarab Registry . Craig Scarab # 155
  19. You need to get a "clutch drive screw driver" for those Holley screws. Stanley makes them so does Snap On. I found mine at a swap meet.
  20. Very nice -- will highlight the conversion and new power of a Hybrid Z .. Well done
  21. I've got one -- I'll take a picture of it but PM me and we'll settle.. Craig
  22. I've got a decent one up near San Francisco - if you can't find one down south.
  23. Great idea to honor these Scarab kits and cars. I maintain the Scarab Registry for both Factory VIN and factory conversion (e.g customer cars) Scarabs. There are less than 200 cars that were produced by Scarab Engineering including "customer cars". However, more than 1,000 kits were sold during the 5 years of the company's existance. If anyone has a factory VIN Scarab or believes they have a factory car, PM me and we'll see about the authentication and listing in the Registry. We are in the process of scanning and placing in the tech library of Wild About Cars (www.wildaboutcars.com) a lot of original Scarab factory materials. Enjoy your Scarab whether it's a Factory VIN, customer car or a nicely done kit. Scarab VIN # 155
