  1. it's gotta be rough making something that incredibly fantastic on such a small scale, i know the kinda work that goes into full grown crawlers, i'm with everyone else on seeing the progress. outstanding work, keep it up!
  2. i could go for some of those girls, those girls in skirts, those girls in skirts on bicycles... that is of course if you're up to the challenge. have fun!!
  3. i'm actually just getting into the engineering aspect of the design, my friend and i are building the car to be a pure drag car. the blower will not hinder the turbos in anyway aside from reducing the "turbo lag" and with the GT35Rs i was looking at would have enough to notice... the design actually reads boost pressure from the manifold so the compression is done two fold if the blower moves enough air to give the engine 100% ve it can in no way hinder the turbos. i'd be more than happy to give you resources, and pictures of the system as it comes together if you'd like. don't pert yourself down, the only bad ignorance is chosen ignorance. i joined the board hoping to learn alot and so far i have, hope i can help return the favor. ...and i think we all wish chevy would get off it's butt and give us some healthy small block force feeding.
  4. you can get a custom set of turbo manifolds for an SBC made at any welding shopo easily, pick up corky bell's "maximum boost" and you can do them yourself!! turbo manifolds once you know the design are really easy to fab up. you can also port an old truck manifold (log type) build a flange into it and you've got a low buck turbo manifold... "when you can't buy it BUILD IT!" i'm in the process of designing a set of turbo manifolds for the 350sbc to put in my chevelle, the plan is to have twin turbos feeding an intercooler feeding a 6-71 blower on top!! it's very easy to twin turbo a small block chevy... look into google and ebay, there's tons of custom parts that get parted off etc. or just get some junkyard log manifolds and experiment!! they're only what ten bucks a set? ... good luck guys.
  5. really i never knew that one.. i knew guys who would get scrap bypass valves and just weld them shut, never knew they sold a part for it... i guess that's what happens when you don't look eh?
  6. i hate running those cobra guys, they've always got more bank in their cars than i've got in my house... -.- that said i've yet to see one that can really hook from a dead stop on a street race... that's the trick, get 'em while they're down! ...don't lose again!!!!
  7. i can't say i would recomend leaving it sealed if you plan on using a high volume pump, as for it bieng "common practice" i've never once seen a street car with it =/
  8. 350 heads are not hard to find, and even the stock heads are better than 305 heads. the work it would take to get those 305s flowin' right you could just buy a set of aluminum 350 heads. it's really not worth it man, sorry you got scammed but cut your losses...
  9. that seriously sucks... i went to re-tag my chevelle in nevada and had a similar problem, they ran the VIN and the genious at the inspection kept telling me the car was a 1980 Mustang... then he started looking for the OBDII port, it kept california plates and now sits in my driveway getting ready to be a donor for a datsun swap, save me finding a clean base
  10. hey way to go on getting your swap to fire!! good luck fixing those little problems... shouldn't be to hard ^.-
