  1. I agree with you, Luckily I don't need to make a Pantera hatch mold as I have the quality one that Arizona Z Car used to make his mold. I have had quotes to make a mold from it and it was in the $1000 range. I tried to gather up enough buyers to justify getting one made and didn't get enough takers to justify the decision. I do know the owner of Arizona Z Car by first name and have for over 15 years. He lives only minutes from me and i see him from time to time. I'd be happy to get a mold made and become the new Pantera Hatch King but i kind of like having a rare item. : )
  2. The headlight was a custom item. the owner of that car sold his on ebay last year.
  3. i have been trying to buy that mold for years. He won't sell just one mold he wants to sell ALL of his molds. Somewhere around $30K.
  4. I would think it would be easier just to make one for the Z31 rather than modding this type.
  5. Can't you adjust the mixture by the external screw? I just can't remember which way is richer, tighter or looser.
  6. I can offer assitance in proofreading them when you get them done if you need help. : )
  7. I appreciated the link and was able to confirm my machine is still clean. Thanks
  8. Let me know if they don't have those wheels for you, I know where a set is at, never mounted.
  9. Try keep bleeding, mine took forever to get the proper pedal feel.
  10. I have some of those too. You should post a picture with a penny next to it to show the size.
  11. It is Jan 21-25, I should be there for at least two days. http://www.barrett-jackson.com
  12. Why aren't you using a thermostat? Running without one causes your car to run hot, contrary to popular belief.
  13. John, MSA is Motorsports, http://www.zcarparts.com
  14. Just call them and ask them. Then ask for references or examples of work.
  15. what year service manual are you looking for?
  16. Thanks for that input, I have already shaved the marker lights, emblems and rear valance, I was eyeing the front cowl next. Maybe I will re think that though.
  17. Thats a picture of my car again!! To answer your concern about visibility, the vertical window allows about as much visibility and the original hatch window.
  18. Here is the number 562-431-4605
  19. I just called them the other day and taked to Sandy (Jim's wife) she is very nice and would be happy to talk with you I am sure.
  20. a 78 and a 74 both minimal surface rust and less that $500 ea. I am in Phx AZ. : )
  21. Has a 455 big block with a blower. I got a ride in it last weekend and the power in that car is amazing! The car is a work in progress but should be at the Pavilions car show in the very near future. Also have you thought about joining us at http://www.desertzassociation.com ?
  22. Steve almost "gave his away at that price. I would say Wagz is right on the money, $4000 for just the kit, then all the "essentials" (lights, door handles etc.), then the amount of hours for install probably $3K to $4K if you had to pay someone to do it, $2K to $4K for paint. then the price of the car to begin with. I'd say anything less than $10K would be worth looking at. Make sure they started with a solid car, and that the install was done well.
  23. My $.02, The yellow car is right down the street from me and I know Ron well, but I still intend on building my own. I have been reading here for quite some time and would have to say that a lot of you have spent money learning for the rest of us (which I appreciate). I may spend a little more than $10,000 but it will be in easy to swallow monthly installments. I will also know everything part that is in it, and how old it is. One hing I have been told by other Hybrid members is that these conversions need to be fixed and having the knowledge from building it myself maintenance will be that much easier. One other major point to remember is that this conversion is not something you want to tackle in a short time depending on it to be you daily driver (until is it finished). Car tinkering is much more fun if it is a project rather than something you need to depend on to keep the money flowing in. I appluad you gumption at tackling this type of project at your age.
