OMG!!! it works it works, I just got done shooting it with compressed air for the past hour, OH man when i turned it on and everything was ok i almost passed out!! OH MAN I'M SO HAPPY, lol. Thank you guys for the help, man i didn't get much sleep last night knowing it didn't work. I'm sure thats unhealthy to love your ipod that much but idc haha. hello, seems Ive had a little mishap with my ipod today, a rather unusual one. I was giving my ipod a custom paint job, lol, btw my ipod is in two pieces due to my curiosity, front face plate and back half with all the components, i recently bought a new clear case to hold it together(i was tired of rubber bands) and i figured id give a cool paint job under the cover, AANYWAY, I was painting the front all fine and dandy, paint it on, bake it in the sun, then for some stupid reason i thought freezing the paint make have some effect on the texture of the paint, well I was right, the front turned out perfect, exactly what i wanted. Now came time to do the back, he comes the "stupid" part of that idea, i painted it, baked it and then went to freeze it and, half hour later when i went to pull it, i didn't think to warm it up gradually i jst pulled right out, and, well a TON of condensation formed, then things started shorting. The screen was acting all weird, everything was red. Like an idiot i started playing with all the buttons, the worst thing you can do, now Ive decided to just let it sit for a couple days. I jst wanted to know if anyone has had these unusual series of occurrences happen to them, and if ou guys had any suggestions as to what to do. ^ Lol no no nothing like that, I have never driven one but my friend owns one, sounds nice, looks alright, but come on, FWD, 4 door, and enough problems to be discontinued, nothing to build off of really. I no this has nothing to do with the new tib, jst gotta defend my post. The only connection between the two is that the srt came out, everyone thought was crazy awsome, talked it way up, and then, well, the rest is history. That was all i as tryen to say.

not sure im as enthuised about the arival of this new "tib" as some of you are. This is only going to start another breed of b.o.v happy, rediculous body kitting and otherwise excesorizing, rice racing kids. As for the looks, from the back it looks like chevy cobalt meets tib, and from the front it looks like RSX meets tib meets G35, not too impressed. And while this may be a nice lil sports car to buy and customize to your content, i believe 240 swapped put it nicely in saying, "my guess is it'll get whored out like the srt-4 and be equally unimpressive" end quote. sry if i offended anyone with this post, pay no mind just my 2cents.

possibly not ignition, i had the same prob except lower rpm's, wat it turned out to be was moisture in the TPS jack and the jack below the AFM, blast those pretty good with air and see wat it does, Look around to see if theres any signs of water in the engine bay... hope this helps, even if it dont hope u get it figured out soon.

But im almost positive there was a difference...they enlarged the bumpers in '77, they offered a 5 spd. overdrive AND "engine modifactions" raised HP to 170. Im pretty sure if you check, the original 280 was rated at 149hp.

Hellow again, I read the many threads on the difference beween the different s30 models. But i noticed no one mentioned the difference between the 1976 L28(149hp) and the 1977 L28(170hp). The only reason nissan gave was "engine modifications", I wanna know exactly what the difference is. Since the head was the same it seems to me that the only change could be in somthin like the ECU. But I dont really know so i dont want to say anything that could be held against me later haha. But yea not really anything ergent just kinda wondering. Thanks in advance. Mac

i noticed no one mentioned the vaccume line that goes from the bottom of the tb to the dizzy and then to the canister, is this the dizzy advance? What sould u do with this, maybe im lookin at it wrong.

personally i think that line is what make a z, a z, if ur gonna remove that line, y dontcha jst remove the slow slope to the rear, and the candy scoop head lights, and the long hood. Just my thoughts.

Hello all... im gonna be sellin my 1976 280z to buy a 1st gen 240z to put a built motor in(built motor under construction). But I was wondering wat u all would pay for a: 1976 280z, bone stock, completely factoy interior (recently redone), no rust on the body, primered not painted so u can choose the color u want, a reconstructed title tho, only because there was a spot on the frame that was slightly rusted, i had it proffesionally repaired. runs very nice, new plugs, new wires, fresh oil change, 57000 orig. miles. really a great Z, great candidate for a race built track car or a daily driver. Plz i need feed back to plan my next project. Thank you.

i used(not that this pertains to u guys) but i used that 2 1/2" thick styrofoaom stuff u buy from lowes and traced the door paned the fabbed my own new age look door panels vie sand paper, knife, and palm sander, then coated it with a thin layer if fiber glass, then painted it black, looks amazing, and looks more modern than flat leather door panels.

Now we can talk about our awsome s30's, and none of the "other Z's" can participate.............lol
