  1. I want that info. Email it to me if you will. yo2001@charter.net thanks. I guess I should least do the pistons huh?
  2. Good, I'm not the only one. So how safe is it to run turbo on N/A dished pistons? may be up to about 12psi with I/C? I'm just trying to figure out the cheapest way to turbo my car
  3. Is there a difference between turbo dished piston and N/A dished piston? I'm talking about the stock one. I heard that the top rings are set at different height but I've never compare them.
  4. I found this on the web. JUN I don't know how much this helps but it's got numbers. I called Topend and they have turbo cam kit for turbo too. I didn't get the spec.
  5. I'm N/A and using just a adjustable FPR. It's set at 3 bar at idle. right on 50psi with 0 vacuum. works good with 274 cam.
  6. I found out that with 0v-1v O2 sensor. car runs best with A/F meter all the way rich in part throttle and around lamba in wot. I could lean some more but my plugs look almost lean.

    What muff!?!?!?

I have to say Lockjaw's fart tip is huge. I've seen it. It's funny big.
  8. Extra fuel, and back the timing alittle.
  9. go with high lift, small duration, the turbo would like that set up. .500" lift and around 240-260 duration maybe? Turbo car will do good with NOS cam too I think. There is an adjustable cam spocket at arizona Z for $120. Cheaper than Nismo. By backing the cam, you might have spooling problem. I guess that's the destiny of SOHC. BTW, do you have 300zx TPS handy? My TPS is dead.
  10. which 280zx trans is it? later model with 3.54 will slow you down. 79-80 trans with 3.90 will give you more accelaration. Good bye gas mileage
  11. oversize TB will give you better throttle response. Not much HP. You can loosen some the AFM to rich the mixture under load if you don't have emission
  12. Crane P91 is what I'm using. $50-$60 but it hasn't fail me yet. You can try mine to see how it does in your car if you want.
  13. You won't need to coat the weld if you are going to use the argon shield. argon wol protect the metal from rust. Also, argon will help give the smoother bead with without too much heat. for steel, 75% is good, 90 is for softer metal. Well, That's what I was told.
  14. leanky vacuum adavance can make your car stutter before the full timing advance
  15. Ford 5.0 oil fitler relocation kit works on L series motor. Just add an oil cooler to it. There used to be a guy sell the 5.0 oil filter relocation kit at ebay for cheap. I think I paid about $10 plus shipping. You would need to change the spring in the oil pump for extra oil pressure.
  16. Hey Norm. Thanks for the reply. My cam is exceeding .460" lift. Here is the spec: Int. Duration (Gross) 274deg Exh. Duration (Gross) 274deg Int. Duration (.050") 234deg Exh. Duration (.050") 234deg Int. Valve Lift .488" Exh. Valve Lift .488" Lobe Seperation 107deg I don't think I would have a valve/piston clearance problem because I've ran shaved head and flattop pistons before with this cam. Now I'm running N47 and dished pistons. I've hear I could get more lift from forwading the rockerarms but i don't know if my springs will like that. My cam is lifting high. It's already about to bind. That's with the high lift/pressure springs. I'll measure the springs' max lift at the head shop I suppose. Thanks for the info.
  17. Okay, first post here from me but here it goes. I'm going to shave the head .030-.045 to bump the compression this summer. I'm planing to use the cam tower shims to get the cam geometry back to the original. My question is do I need to get a thicker set of lash pads?
