  1. I looked at th p90A last week and If I take the studs and replaced them with solid lifter kind, it looked possible to swap. But gettin the studs out is pain. I've try that before and I ended up with an impact wrench on them. lol
  2. I just took mine to a head shop and they put mine in a big washing machine thingy and steam washed it.
  3. all you need is oil filter o-ring right? It should be the same as an adaper o-ring. Motorcraft FL1's o-ring comes right off. Under $4.
  4. An alumnium radiator can be made to have a larger opening flue inside which will give better cooling even the radiator is same size. 4 row with same size opening will not be anymore effiecient. It'll just hold more water. Also, running tapped water with the proper rust prevent additive will give your car a better heat transfer. Car Craft had a excellent article awhile back. It should be an helpful to find it.

    One inch steel rod

    WELDERS??

110amp with gas, you can weld a 1 inch solid rounds. So yo'll be fine, turn it down some

    WELDERS??

A good weld is always stronger than bad one. Meaning the mig with the shield is stronger as long as you are making good weld. If you got the gas sheild it's easier to weld good. Make sense? Also, it takes more amp to weld without the shield.
  8. That's all I can say. 383 turbo may be?
  9. You can go up to little shy of 470 I think. I can't tell you the spec of it, I'm not a pontiac owner. I know thery run forged crank with Eagle or Crowler rods. Ross pistons, venolia pistons blah, blah, blah. If you have $1600, you can get Elerblock? aluminum heads.
  10. My pontiac buddies are running stroked 455's with chevy rods and pistons. Hybrid Pontiac motor. Long rod/ short piston makes the pontiac motor strong in higher rpm with less pinging(459-469 ci) I'm hoping may be one of them gives me the motor to go into a Z on day.
  11. 3mm is the stock lash pads. You guys do the math
  12. Unless you have an alumnium fly with replacable high ductile surface. lol
  13. I think I got 12 single ones (not a set)from MSA for $12 or something. Still expensive. I'm going to balance them when I take the head off.
  14. I've been hearing alot about Star Clutch. Local from where I live. That would be what I would get next. I'm running Centerforce DF. I know alot of poeple say it doesn't hold, but working fine for me for now. Knock on wood.
  15. stock lash is 3mm which is like .120". My .488" lift cam uses .160" lash pads so I would think it should be in .140" range. Make sure the rockers are in good shape. Also, balancing the rockers while you have them off would be a positive thing.
  16. May be the heat range is way off with wrong gaps. What plugs are you running?
  17. Yuk I hope you got all the ceramic pieces out.
  18. couple raice sticker and fart tip(s) and you might get more action.
  19. Looks like the dino motor 200hp out put I think. I'm sure that it'll fit but I don't think it's worth the cost
  20. I think getting lean during transaction (I think that's a 4 barrel carb term) is pretty normal. Because the vacuum changes and takes a sec to get the FPR to react. Transaction ping is common I think. I think the bigger fuel pump will help because there will be less pressure drop.
  21. Is he a drag car or sportscar? That's a fine line there. If the 3 speed auto came with same gearing as 5 speed, it'll be faster but since the 5 speed came with better gearing plus more gears, the 5 speed is faster. Lone you are right about the auto shifting faster than 5 speed. Unless the manual trans gears were cut straight, no clutch and powr shift it
  22. But there is no such thing as an automatic sportscar just kidding.
  23. the valves should be fine. I would get a set of harden steel seats. VB have them
