  1. Or whole alot of wheel spin. 500HP is probably possible from SR but man it'll be a one ridiculous car. lol 12sec at 130mph lol
  2. oh, okay. But I tought the T04B housing is not as efficient as T04E housing? So why would you want to put .57 trim wheel in a T04B housing? For clearance?
  3. Okay, T04B doesn't have a .57 trim. That's T04E. V trim would be my choice if you are going to be T04B I was told to get .50 trim T04E with stage III turbine at the turbo shop. Sorry I got carried away with the compressor maps.
  4. I think SR20 even with a single turbo, it's too light to keep the car from lifting while going over 100mph. I know even with L6, the stock z without the from airdam and lowering spring the car lift like hell on the interstate about 100-120mph. In contrast, the light SR20 powered would be a great handling car like RX-7. The SR20 is a great motor, but I think it's more suited for a smaller car. IMO. Also, since the SR is sleeved alunium block, would it not hold as much boost as RB with an iron block? Is the SR20 non turbo block high ductile iron sleeve block? If you want a accessible 4 banger why not KA24 with some boost? How about the torque output of SR20DET? Sorry, I'm in kind of skeptic mood.
  5. You going to need a real sticky tires because if you lose traction at the track, you are going to get smoked by Scottie. This is getting real interesting. See you guys Friday too.
  6. 20b is not small. it's same length as I-6 motor. And yap, the rotory will break. Not strong against heat. The boost creates heat IMO 510 with SR and S30 with RB is the ultimate combo. I still don't see what you would need to buy, part wise. Have also considered the fact you'll be losing alot of weight off the front of your car? that could be good or bad.
  7. L6 is all the L series 6 cylinder. lol L4 would be the four bangers.
  8. What kind of parts do you want? There not much need for part if you get a RB motor hadles like 800HP stock. External parts are pretty interchangeable with other Nissan car I'm sure. Hell, it's Nissan
  9. switch pitch T-400 and tou'll have a overdrive. Only if the price doesn't matter. BTW, the torque kills the trans not the HP. You can built a 9 band 700R4 which give you OD.
  10. I'm going to to take my video camera for this Excellent.
  11. I think the stroke is 79mm because rods are 140mm.
  12. FJ20DET came in R31 skyline and some Z31 in Japan. It's like L series but with DOHC and cross flow head. The rods from FJ can be adapted to L6 motor.
  13. I've been concerned about my oil pressure lately because it's doing a weird thing. When I'm cruising, the pressure is usually fine, may be little low for a high volume/pressure oil pump. the oil pressure read little pass the center at 3000rpm. However, when I'm really on the gas at 6500rpm, the pressure doesn't seem to rise much more then where it was during cruising. (little bit pass the center)As soon as I get out of the gas to go back to cruising speed the pressure jumps up to 3/4 way. That's wierd to me. May be I'm drying the sump during WOT high rpm driving. (not good) Or my sender is about to go. I want your opinion. Thanks.
  14. KKK doesn't make a turbo big enough for L6 I don't think. I've heard of twin with 2 KKK.
  15. I've measured my E88 and it was 4 3/16in. That's my shaved head so yours should be the same.
  16. I've seen 16in ARE black mesh rims on 240Z. They were sweet.
  17. SR20DET has optional 6 speed. There are too many ways to make the hybrid goes fast.
  18. Also, don't forget to add more shims under the valve springs. Without them, you'll wacked the seat pressure.
  19. yes! FJ is an exllent motor. If you come up with 6 rods from FJ, you can use them in a L motor. 140mm rods which were used by Electromotive L28ET.
  20. humm. I take your word for it since I've never driven Supra like that. But seems to me vette looks more comfortable to drive. Also the vette might be faster rolling down the street. At least for a second. lol
  21. Blue lines were Supra right? That shows how undrivable the supra is on the street. There is no power up to 4500 rpm.
  22. I'm using that kind right now. I've ran my car hard and hot and I've not had a problem yet. But that's only been about 6 month. I think that would be fine in normal application.
  23. Web support is good for high boost turbo motor. I guess the web support can retrict the water flow but I've had cooler running engine with F54 block. I guess you are talking about two oil jets that supply oil to the head. You can enlarge some for high rev motor but factory size oil jets can support up to about 7000rpm without any cam damage. Don't go too big because then you'll have problem with main/rod bearing oil starvation.
  24. I'm sure the there is a way to sleeve the block with titanium. But if the motor is turning that high of rpm, you be going through some piston rings all the time. L6 crank is only good for like 8000rpm if you are lucky. You really need a full counter crank to do that kind of rpm. L4 can because the shorter crank and some are even full countered crank. 280deg cam isn't big enough to turn that high and you'll need like 12:1 compression motor to keep the compression high enough. Still, your motor sounds like a good motor. Destroked L29 will need a longer rods like 140mm FJ20DET rods. those are hard to come by.
