Everyone here is trying to sell their car that's not even worth 500 dollars as a parts car for 2500-3000 dollars...as a poor kid, that makes my Z addiction not an easy one to please. If anyone has any info or is selling their Z for a decent price and condition, please let it be known. I have a 280zx and I'm dying to put the L28 and the 5 speed in an older Z.

May not be worth much to all of you, but I seriously want this Z. I already started saving up for it and talked to my boss about overtime. I'd be more than happy to take it off his hands and give him what it's valued at.

Dude, I want to keep in contact with you. I just blew 1500 dollars on school (I'm a poor college kid too) but I still have about 800 dollars left in my savings. I work as a busboy for tips, so sometimes the money's good and sometimes it's bad. But I know for a fact I should have at least 2k by mid to end February because my dad's hiring me with his company for 9.50 an hour after taxes. I know you probably hate to see your Z go, but if you're willing to wait. At least you'd know it's staying in FL and that while I'm a n00b it's going to a good home.

I'd love to have this car. How's the L20 running? An original Fairlady Z is seriously my dream car, obviously I would swap in an L28et in time. But wow, man if I wasn't such a poor kid I'd scrape my money together and buy it. I hope you still have it by next month, I'm in Orlando btw.

Thanks man, lots of good advice there. I'll try to see if I can find Mercedes or something of good quality. But if I don't I'll head the Taurus route. Does anyone know what Gen is the best to use? Is there anything that I have to do to my ECU? Extra sensors I should pull off the Taurus?

I think it's about time that I run an overhaul on the old 280zx, my fuel injection's all messed up. Gas is leaking all over the cylinders, so tomorrow I'm gonna mess with it. Get it all fixed up, since not only am I losing power (all of them are leaking except 2!) but gas is pretty bad...I'm also going to try to patch up the leaks on my radiator. If anyone knows if any other radiators are interchangeable with mine, please let me know since I'll also be at the junkyard and I'd rather pick up a radiator there then have to order an expensive one online. And since I'll be at the junkyard, if anyone's got any cheap NA junkyard build ideas please let me know. I'll probably be picking up a throttle body off a 240sx for better response. Thanks in advance. I'll probably take pictures ad post them for you guys tomorrow.

So I was originally planning on doing a Rb20det swap (which I was about to get down to 1300 dollars with everything included) and I even considered getting an RB25det. However, I found an old turbo 280zx at a local junkyard and while the block isn't exactly rebuildable, I was wondering if I could still take some things off in order to "upgrade". Anyways...here's what I'm thinking: -Oil Pan -Air Flow Meter -Manifold -Dizzy -ECU And possibly even turboing it later with a turbo off an old Volvo or a Saab. Thoughts?
