  1. Took my chances, ordered and received (quick shipment from RHDJapan!) this Cusco Type ST that fits perfectly. Solid strut bar, but no one in the US stocks this anymore. Glad my search is over, whew, thx to those giving tips. FYI, part number is 246 510 A (S30)
  2. Thanks, that's one option! I'm preferring the alum look, covering over the entire floor/tunnel area which will brighten and give contrast to the rest black interior. Looks like custom shaping is the only way to go if no vendors are out there offering.
  3. Guys, I'm ready to finish off the interior to give it a clean, bright look. One option is all aluminum to cover the floorboards and tunnel, or at least just the tunnel area. Any ideas? Someone suggested Rhino Lining but while giving better insulation it's still in black. This will be a mostly track-driven Z, but still street legal. I have the Z32 5 speed set a little back behind the RB. Got to get this done soon, need your feedbacks. Materials, pics, vendors, local shops in So CA area? Thanks
  4. This is true, I'm wondering if my Eibach 250 lbs, at all corners on the EMI coilovers will be enough to keep a lower ride height (slight rake) or need to raise it a bit. Will be testing my project soon at ACS and next yr Buttonwillow, WSIR. It's damped by Tokico Illuminas.
  5. I'm sure my mounts are not McKinneys, but the Cusco Type OS (newer alum) does not fit. The Type ST (older type) is what I'll try next. Do you have any pics, ktown? Maybe the plumbing is different.
  6. Hey Ian, thanks! Actually the factory 'stock' hook type tow eye that came with S30s are not recommended for towing, I read it somewhere. These are simple flat stock that attach to both ft and rr bumper mounts, still probably not the strongest but I think they'll work fine for my track purposes (sure hope to never use them, though, LOL). They are SCCA legal, so good to know. Search around for vendors. They clear both bumpers and air dam just fine.
  7. Nice! How is the clearance up front, any rubbing inside or out, and for tracking I hope? I have the same Wats, but only 16x9 -13 up front with 225/50 Z214 R-comps.
  8. Hey all, Need ideas on what will fit for my set up. So far both Cusco OS and MSA do not fit due to the intercooler plumbing interference. I'm ordering the Cusco ST (older style) hoping that will fit since lower profile at the mount points (strut tower) and possibly mounting it backwards, canted towards the front. Note I'm using the EMI racing camber kit, so no inner bolt. Anyone with pics on what may fit, other options clearing the hood? I have the vented 280Z stock hood on my '73. Thanks for any help here!
  9. I can also recommend JER Development, so far their RB26 swap onto my '73 is solid, will prove it soon when I start tracking it. No overheating, smooth idle and revs, no issues so far. Lots of custom mount pieces, fitting RB25 pan, super nice custom stainless exhaust, etc. Great communication, too, Linh is patient and listens, gives options for your specific needs.
  10. So far, R32 RB is solid, aiming for Dec track day and this month dyno for baselines. Central SPL ecu seems stable too, will keep you guys updated of course. Immed goal is to match my E46 M3 (stock, stage 1 tune) on local road courses here. FYI, my on-going track project is chronicled under the 6 cyl Nissan RB Forum
  11. Been asked by a few about the stance of my 16" Watanabes, more pics below: rear strut, plenty of clearance with EMI/Eibach coilovers, fronts are similar: Project Kics up front, you can specify any bolt pattern with this set up: with track shoes, Rcomps
  12. Tires are 225/45 on 9" and 245/45 on the 9 1/2". Does have a Project Kics spacer up front to push it out a little.
  13. Hi guys, new postings of my track toy in preps, RB26DETT stock for now with Central ecu, almost done (appx 90%). Going back to my roots (prior track cars E46 M3, 1st gen STi) have owned three S30s over the years Btw, Stivva, Ryan, nice pics! Great examples of mods!
