  1. thats a badazz 240. id just make sure your rear is built strong enough to take the abuse. but back the original question id go with a well built SR
  2. IMO adding the separate reverse lights would make it to crowded.
  3. they deff. look very similar, im not sure how you would go about mounting them? any idea whos S30 that is in the first pic? if you could find them y ou could ask how they did it
  4. thats very true, im not trying to be a jerk but if youv got the budget for an RB26 youd be better off starting with something like and SX for drifting IMO. Im not saying its blasphamy to drift an S30 or anything, I watch drifting and Id be stoked a see an earlyer Z holding it down in a drift event.
  5. ya I dont think there required here. I would be painting it black anyway if got some so Id perfer fiberglass, its cheaper to. Right now Im looking mostly at the vett style round lights and making a FG panel for them.
  6. drop an SR20t in a 240sx and go drift. i don't think the rear suspension would hold up very well to drifting on an S30.
  7. Iv seen something like that on some hondas but I have no idea what they are.
  8. are the reverse lights required? i guess that might very by state tho? what if you got the set of Z32 tails that have the bottom light clear insted of amber and wire up one of the lights to be a reverse light to? Iv never looked at Z32 tail lights so idk if that will work but just and idea.
  9. happened on my old 280zx doing about 70-75 on a freeway on ramp. went sliding all the down it on my break roater and managed to pull it over safely

  12. Im interested in the idea, Iv been toying with different tail lights for my 240 but like AK-Z said, I would want to see the accual product first.
  13. just with a lady who was going to buy things from on CL I had her name and email and I found out where she worked, what projects she had worked on, she was an art director, and what collage she graduated from, along with other bits like phone numbers ect. if the info is out there you can find it.
  14. my suspecting somone messed with them is based off a set of carbs (same ones, 4 screw) that have the rubber float thats attached by a hinge. the metal float might have kind of stuck cockeyed possably? im taking the tops from the spare set Hughdogz lent me to study (and to look at if i forgot how things went together) with the rubber floats on hinges along with cleaning it all and setting the needles to see if that works things out. this is my first set of SU's and my second Z (first was an 80'ZX) so almost everything is still a learning experance lol but im glad to have hybridz, hughdogz, the northwestz club, and everyone else whos willing to help out a young gun
  15. yup, thats what it looks like to me. Iv had alot of trouble with fouling plugs and all kinds of of fun carb related problems and I figured I just needed to get my AFR right but after fouling a set of plugs after about 30 sec with the carbs tuned to what was saposta be way lean I started pulling them apart to clean them and set the needle and make sure the float wasnt letting in a bunch of gas. With alot of help that Iv gotten from Hugh (Hughdogz), who showed me how to take apart my SU's and set everything not to mention the all the info and bailing me out when i took out my radiator:icon50: (thanks man), Iv got my carbs apart and cleaned but the float looks like someone has gone and f****ed with it:fmad: ill let the pics do the talking...   16. Cool mirrors, I wonder if that kid ever stops to look at his flares and think, hey, there kinda F'd up. Something tells me he hasn't noticed tho.
  17. YES!!! What a kickazz way to end my day. I found my ipod I had lost for about 3-4 months and I got my Z running and ready to have the carbs tuned.

  19. find yourself a rusty s30 and just knock out the floorboard and bam... like the flinstones that'll give you a workout and you'll still look cool in a Z
  20. Hey guys, I have a 73' 240z with an L26 with 4 screw round top SU's and I cant get it to stay running. I swapped the L26 in about a week ago and got it running pretty good, i drove it every day to work and around and had no problems untill one day i started getting backfire from the intake. I tryed adjusting the timing and carbs to fix it and got it to stop backfiring but now Ill go out and try to start it and it'll be firing but just sputtering at no more than 3-400 RPMs and then dies. I'v adjusted the timing, fiddled with the carbs and had the choke on and off. My flow meeter just came in lastnight so I was going to tune the carbs but i cant even get it to idle now.
