Technically, yes. But you would be better off just buying a ZX airdam. It would take far more time, trouble and money to mod it.

it works correctly now holes marked for the new emblem mounts. drilling out the mount holes and hole for the wiring. "bowled" out the hood behind the emblem to fit the LED's and wire. off in the daylight. on in the daylight. on at night. it looks really bubbly and rounded in all the pics and vid but its just the camera. vid of the emblem coming on with the running/head lights http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6294568750628285168&hl=en

thanks for the in process pics Hugh. I had it all mounted and wired up and found that I should have put a resistor in so I burned up the LEDs and had to tear it all apart again. Iv got it all wired up again with a resistor in the circuit this time and so Ill found out if it works soon enough lol.

haha it took me like 2 hours in HughDogZ's garage to carve out the Z then I had to go over it with an exacto blade to get the points sharp and then I ran a strip of 150 grip threw it.

I got inspired to make a light up hood emblem for my 240z after I saw serx93's brake light rear emblem. I carved out the "Z" from a 280zx emblem with a dremmel bit (ill have some in process pics later) and put some plastic and LEDs behind it. crappy pics buy you get the idea lol. Itl be wired up where my side markers used to be so it comes on with the lights.

I made one from the 280zx hood emblem, havent mounted it yet tho

start callin the wreaking yards and people that are hording parts cars lol

that pic was for joey buy brown recluse are deff somthing to stay away from lol. when i was little a messed with black widdows and didnt know any better, its a wonder i never got bit

ok, so its about time I start this thing. this is my 1973 240Z and my daily driver. I bought my 240 from a guy in WA in Mar 08' it already had the header and 2.5in exhaust and 280z 5 speed swapped in and was running the original L24 with 3 screw round tops. it was mostly rust free and the batt tray and pass floor had already been replaced with new metal. the first day i had it i drove it around a little bit and about a 4 blocks from my house on the way home my clutch slave went out. lol so i was fixing things the first day. got everything situated and drive it regularly, it is my DD after all. i removed both bumpers and the rear louver. and did some selling and trading and got a pollished cam cover in the mix. i kept putting soda cans in my ash trey so decited to learn to fiberglass and made a cup holder to replace the ash tray, the cover closes over it and everything the the motor started going south on me and burning alot of oil. so bad in fact, i was pulled over for the smoke from when i hit the gas coming back form the JY: i was quoted about $800 to fix it and so i hit craigslist. i found a rebuilt L26 from a 260z that had been rear ended by a delivery truck for $200 i cleaned it up and gave it a new coat of blue paint and put all of my good/better parts from the 24 on it and got ready for a weekend garage swap. with me, my brother, and a rented cherry picker we swapped it in 2 days. not bad for my first swap i think :mrgreen: between that time and june i had a few little kinks, most of witch was bailed out of by HughDogZ, whom i owe a lot of thanks to in my Z progress. things like having roadster bowls on my carbs with bad floats, bent fan blade taking out the radiator, busted door handle, yaknow, the usual she then made an apperance at Canby, inside on sat and in the outside lot on sunday. [ya, thats me. somone snuck that pic in ] hangin out by the car on sunday a buddy i work with backed into my car, sweeeeet spot theres some timly gaps between eventfull things becuase of lack of money, i just turned 20 and im still in school and work so im not making a whole lot. i went out to the sat night drags at PIR and well.... long story short i had a crappy run and found this lovely little number floating around in my head after. FF>> i got that fixed and while it was down from repairs i rattled it black. i was tiered of the stripe and my primer patches i had all over it. with it just reattle canned for now i can paint w/e on it and now worry about it lol so it got a new hood emblem that i made i aslo shaved the pass side mirror... when i get my new mirrors they will be fender mount so the drivers will go as soon as i get the new ones on. [^ and ya, still havent fixed that dent] Hugh and I hangin out at the BBQ meet in the 'couve ok, so thats covered alot that iv done in the past few months and iv gotta get up for work in about 5 hours but theres plenty more to post

aw to bad, id love to use one as a hood emblem on my S30. i might have to start messing around with my own concoction for somthing similar

thats awsome! where did you find that at? to stay on topic, mines not to incredibly original, shaved bumpers and side markers, L26, and 5 speed

my dad picked up a harley sportster and didn't tell my mom. safe to say she was PISSED tape a Z emblem to it and tell her you got a 260
