  1. Very nice skyline... and were did you get it. Is it street legal?
  2. Thank you very much Tony. Although I may not live in the mentioned states, but I live in Las Vegas NV. Ambient average temps hover around 100deg for a few mounths here and many nights so hot the temps dont drop below 90deg. Im not going to change over to the Mikuinis. So, I will have to keep an eye on my over all design with a fuel return line and before carb regulator. So this does bring up another question as to were to mount my heat shield. I'm looking at attaching it to my manifold. I have seen peapole attach it to the carbs, then I have seen some new ones that attached to the bottom of each carb?
  3. Sounds like wee have the same setup. Its good to hear this. Although I would still like to clear up my original question, and have someone that is/has used a fuel return line to cool their carbs. Also, I do believe the webers can be used this way.
  4. This is part of the question that hasn't been addressed yet. I am really hoping someone can post up pictures of the fuel return line bing used to cool the carbs.
  5. This all makes sense. I have a Carter 4psi fuel pump. So would I have to just run a line back to my fuel cell or use a fuel pressure regulator? If/then would the FPR go before or after the carbs? I know just enough about Webers to make me dangerous.
  6. I am putting 40mm DCOEs on my 280z. My question is should I have a fuel return line or not. This has been brought up before. I couldn't fine were these were or what the result was. Also, I think I remimber 'TonyD' talking about the return fuel should be use to cool the carbs to keep them from heat soaking. Could some one (Tony) confirm this, provide picture and/or a discription on how this is done.
  7. Dammit.. That would help. Thanks.
  8. Please Delete.... Sorry wrong section.
  9. I sure I know how you went about this. But if its not to much troble could you take off a wheel in the front and rear, take pictures of the suspention ie.. Were the coilovers are welded to the hubs, were they blot to the body and overalls? Im not trying to be an a$$, Im just trying to have some closure. Thank you for your time and good day.
  10. Can you drive to my house so I can take and post up pictures? Or would you like to take care of this by yourself?
  11. SO... =) I must of been drunk or something. Because, I looked at all my cams including my Schneider cam and they all 'lugged' with NO other holding points. Sorry for speaking to quickly.
  12. My original statement was off the top of my head. Tho I am fairly certain that My Schneider cam has a "Hex" style hold. Its about the size of a #21 wrench. I do have them in storage and can drag them out this weekend if you would like.
  13. TONY, I dont know if this helps but I have a Isky custom cam and two Schneider cams. The Isky has the lobes that you speak of and the two Schneider cams have both a hex and lobe for 'holding' them. They were all bought over five years ago.
  14. The gold tape that HRP sales is not the same as what is used by NASA or in high-end racing. The 'real' stuff is a 1000$ a liner foot and only avaible in 3" wide rolls. I have been looking for it for years but only found one place but they shut down. Tho many of peaple have used both (mainly gold) with good results.
  15. Im not trying to be rude... But, Maybe you should talk to another machine shop, Because the KA24 pistons will work on the 240z rods. Maybe They are just confused and are unsure. They may just need support. Good luck.
  16. I use Eagle Rods In my Datsun L28, Honda B16 & B18 and My Mazda FS-DE motors. I have beat on them all for many years with no problems. We use them ALL the time at my machine shop for street or race engines. We have had failures but I dont think any from quality. Now they are on the heavy side.
  17. I hope this wasn't ment for me? Because I was saying I would look into how to use powder clear with rag. paint.
  18. BTW what size rims do you have? If you dont mind me asking. Your setup/car is the one of the resons I have keeped my 280z for the last 10 years.
  19. I will have to look more into the power clear as that may be an option. I have a couple of people looking into if I can pass tech with the cage powercoated. If I cant pass tech then I will just paint it like everyone else.
