I have the same adapters that you have from MM. I was just hoping to see the pic of your set-up. The pic you posted is not working for me. Just a box with a red x in it.
-
Man I wish I could see the pic! I also have the MM adapters on standby waiting for some wheels. What offset did you use and how do you like the tire size on your car? Are you using coil-overs? Is there anywhere else that I can view your pic? Thanks!

That looks real COOL! 8) Where did you get that beefy fuse block by the battery? Also what size wheels are those..?
-
I believe it's 4x4.5 inches.

WOW what a clean engine bay! Does anyone know what kind of upper radiator mount that is? It's pretty sweet!
-
Got your pm! I sent you one back. Let me know what you think.
-
Me likes the flannel hood liner. Very Al Borland of you! Lookin sweet. That TPI set-up looks like it was meant to be there.
-
I've got a pair of Toyo 4x4 calipers for sale if you're interested = $50. I'm in the bay area too, so no shipping charges! Or maybe a trade for some T-Maxx parts.......???

EASY! HPI sells an El Camino body for use on monster trucks. AND it comes with the top portion of a V-8 with a blower and scoop attatched! I'm sure it would "bolt up" to a Z car body. Hmmmm......................
-
Your best bet will probably be the ones on ebay. The seller that has the 240ZG bodies does also sell the 240z from time to time. I've been trying to locate one for some time now and that's been the only consistent source. I think they're only 190mm but they should fit a 1/10th nitro 200mm too. If not the 350Z body is pretty sweet too. And alot easier to come by. Not to mention half the cost of on of the retro units!
-
I sold one on Ebay recently. I would check there, I see them quite often. The one I had was called "How to hot-rod and race your Datsun" It had the type of info you're looking for.
-
Sparco makes one for cars! Search ebay. I've seen a few. They're a bit pricey though.
-
Sweet! Thanks for the pics Marcos. I was told they will be getting more from Japan in the future. BTW is that a 190mm or 200mm?
-
I agree on the steering rack. MSA also sells hard plastic ones.
-
If it's like mine, the screw also has a 6 point head on it. I was able to use a 1/4 " ratchet with 8 or 10 mm socket for extra leverage. If not see if you can take just the guage out first and then take the mounting bracket off once the guage is out of the way.
-
Cool! Thanks Davy. If not It'l be a 350Z!

Does anyone know who makes or sells a lexan 240Z R/C body? I just bought a new toy and want to make it into a Z ( of course )
I remember seeing one on the web a while back........anyone?

Speedo and tach = 5 inch. The other three are 2 5/8 inch. The model numbers will vary depending on what brands and styles you choose. Thoses are the magic sizes for your 240 8)
Click on my link and you can see pics of Autometer Ultra-lite in my 240.
ps. A 2 5/8" guage will also fit quite nicely in the dash vent hole.

I had to special order my S/T sway bars from summit. They said it would take a few weeks but I ended up getting them alot sooner than that. Don't underestimate the power of a parts giant. They impressed me with that turn-around time. 8)

Since you're in Lodi let me suggest you look on zparts.com There is a project car in the for sale section located in Lodi for $500. There is a brief description of it and it seems like a good starting point. It's probably not too far. Just thought i'd let ya know. Don't be intimidated by an old project Z if your not experienced. The old ones are easier than the newer ones and you said you have a buddy with a Z plus all the info on this site. Just make sure you get a project with little rust and not too hacked up as far as wiring and misc parts. Good luck!

I swear that guy tried to race me the other day. At least that's what it sounded like!
-
How about some pics of your work? You got me interested so far. Where in cali?
-
That's weird to hear. I've always received great customer service from Ross. Good products, too. I haven't done business with him in a while, and I can relate to your frustration. I hope his Z hobby doesn't fade away. MM is a great source for parts.

Chevota? I knew of one, but it looked more like a " Toyo-lette"

It works! Thanks David
