I've been on this forum for about 3 years and I've only lurked around and watched out people's builds. I've actually been building my own car since I've joined this forum and the car is pratically done but FINALLY felt that I should share what I've come to love... of course the Z..
I'm by far no mechanic but try my best to do what I can. So if you ask me something technical I'm sure I'll be limited to answer..
Hope you like the car!
Keep in mind I've had this car for 3 years so I'll just post bit by bit until we're caught up to present day.
First time the car came home!
A few things from MSA came in so I had them installed..
fiber glass BRE style spoiler, ZG flares, CF hood, air dam
also got a hold of some new JDM fender mirrors.
I lost the pictures of the ZG flare install but we cut both the front fender (bad idea) and rear fender. I had the inner and outer rear fender wended together and seam sealed it on the inside so road debris wouldn't get in.
few months later I sent the car out and had a 6-point roll cage put in. I also replaced the driver side floor pan because it wasn't in the best shape.
Next stop.. to the paint guy. I had the stock motor and tranny removed. Had the car sanded down to check for rust and any problem areas. The car only had rot where the hatch was on the passenger side. I had them cut it out and weld on a fresh piece of metal.
Most the work and prep was done at his place. Then it was towed to the paint booth. (I still regret to this day taking it to him. Love the work but I didn't realize he was "working from home".. When I had other issues down the line it was impossible to get any "warranty work" redone.)
