  1. example: This has been in production since before the iphone existed.. http://www.autoenginuity.com/public_html/products.html and palm too! Val
  2. I'd be willing to bet that there are more developers (i.e. guy in a basement) for the windows mobile platform by several orders of magnitude - anybody that knows even a bit of c#, JAVA or VB, can call themselves a windows phone developer, simply by recompiling existing software for mobile, and tweaking it for screen size. If you can find a piece of useful software out there for the iWhatever, 10:1 says somebody made it for windows mobile first, and their version is probably free. Val
  3. Some theorize that after a several year adjustment period, humans would live longer due to the lessened stressors on the body... from this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rfid to this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_Power_Satellite
  4. that entirely depends on where you're going. http://www.astronomycafe.net/qadir/q2811.html as a submariner, I can tell you, I could do 130 standing on my head, and the tech exists to do it today, from a material and logistical standpoint. Build me a ship the size of a 4 bedroom two story home, and I can get you 20 men on mars in 5 months. But you have to push it there. Maybe something involving the Oberth manuever..? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oberth_effect Val
  5. s130 Tenth anniversary (black gold, black red):http://www2.zhome.com:81/History/10thAnniv.htm S30 (240z only) overall production numbers in this paragraph at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Z-car#First_generation_.28S30.29 Better S30 numbers including some trims like zap, etc at S30 entry at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Z-car#First_generation_.28S30.29 Hope this helps a bit Val
  6. stopped by "game over!' today (think of it like a gamestop, but it's a locally owned place) and found one for thirty bucks, and they have buy 2 get one free on most games for like 3.99 a piece. Lemme know if I should pick it up. Did you look into downloading some wii stuff?

  8. why not go for a wii instead? (unless you already have one) Many N64 titles are available for purchase/download, including the 64 greats like Zelda, and Mario kart - plus the added benefit of not having to play with the ridiculous 64 controller mentioned above. Not only that, your son can get as old school as SNES and NES with those downloads, plus since the wii is really just the gamecube 1.5 as far as hardware goes, it's backwards compatible with hundreds of 3 dollar gamecube games. Id say this is best bang for the buck for old school gaming.
  9. Maybe there should be a thread where people can ask questions like this - I think I'll post about that in the site support forum later - either way, recommend this thread be deleted. Val
  10. Hey, try http://www.zdocs.com/ - based out of Tampa, and the owner, Brett, is a friend of my neighbors, who vouches for him and his work (my neighbor has owned 12 Zs i recently found out) Anyway, i looked over his site, and his restorations look clean, and he's got a couple in need to. More than you might pay if you did a lot more legwork yourself, but a nice selection close to you nonetheless. Val
  11. this thread is sort of not related, but at the same time may be very helpful - had to do with a custom KA/Napz Head: http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=9836&highlight=custom+head
  12. That's amazing - I'm glad I found this thread before i started suspension part collection. Thank you to everyone who pironeered this. I'm sure I'll be back with questions ion a few months tho.
  13. It's all skinable in RR - give him time. Derek, you ever come up to south GA? I'd love to come down this october, but I live off of exit one in saint marys, and don't trust the Z right now for 4+ hours of driving in a day.
  14. wish i trusted my Z for 4 hours of driving - live in south GA, basically 15-20 min north of jax. Love to see a Z with rr. You said you were using IGuidance? is it worth the money?
  15. Hate to beat a dead horse here, but i find myself running into this and getting frustrated with it more than a couple times a month - how about looking in to meeting half way? Perhaps there is a way, as with thread closing/opening ability, to limit post editing only to the classifieds, and perhaps the members projects section? Val
  16. has this been accomplished on an L6? only saw the 350, but I'm wondering what solution there is for mounting a p/s pump to the l-series - replacement of a/c? Custom bracket with X donor pump? Thanks Val
  17. ripsnz - has any attempt been made to adapt your plenums for L series use? Do you machine them all now, or do you still weld sheet? Val
  18. does every reply to a thread constitute a post, or only new threads posted? No intention of a hijack, but my 'post' number under my name, and actually number of posts have always had a disparity - and I rarely post in the non tech forums. Val
  19. in 83 with no computer records... I'd say he might have had a hard time tracking down the vin of the original camaro in the first place. I don't know even now where I would go to find the vin of my first honda civic... Val
  20. I'm not seening them - car sounds beautiful, though. Val
  21. Did you end up sacrificing your glovebox for the atom? And yeah, i've beeen looking at the reconditioned 90A Z alternators for 2-300$. I didn't know about the maxima thing, so i'll do some searching - you recomend it? What are your plans for portable media? I bought a slim slot load DVD+-R that I'm going to try to fab into the dash somehow. Val
  22. nice work so far - what frontend is that, and how much did your ac put you back (if you don't mind). Also, did you feel it was necessary to do any kind of upgrade to your alternator for the carputer system? Also laptop w/inverter, or ITX with DCPS? I'm all questions because your going down the same road I am. Later Val (PS, you felt the orig. vents didn't flow well enough? Have you been able to test the new ones? Marked improvement or what?)
  23. the new post button actually runs a search for all posts made since your last login date and time - and you probably know the 15 second rule from regular searching, but it applies with the since last time search thats going on. Val p.s. what do your tail lights look like these days?
