I have a inline walbro pump on mine. Works perfect, I had to put a nismo fpr to get the psi down from 55 at idle to 36. Those Bosch 044 pumps are pricy.
-
Those pans will also work on a RB30 block yes? If so... I may be inetersted.
I did a little research and it looks like the oil pan off the rb20/25 will bolt up to a rb30.
please let me know if you are interested

I made my first oil pan flange last night so I don't need the old oil pan. I'm going to start building a oil pan for a rear wheel drive block so if anybody needs one just let me know.
-
I just looked at the mckinney mounts. That would be a piece of cake to build if I had a template to work off of.
-
That all sounds good, I don't have the motor yet, still doing some research and planning. You said you could make motor mounts too? How much would you charge for those? Mckinney charges 475 I think, but if you can do it cheaper I might go with them.
I can build motor mounts. That won't be a problem but I would need a wood template that I could copy over to steel.
-
That would be very helpful, how much would you charge? Also, how long do you think the pan will take to complete? So with this pan, will I need anything else to convert it to rear sump? I am absolutley interested, this is the hardest part of the swap so far, granted I haven't even really started haha.
I charge 400.00 for the rear wheel drive block and 500.00 for the all wheel drive block. The all wheel drive blocks come with a aluminum pan and the pickup is in a different place. I will need your old steel oil pan and pick up. I cut up the old pan and I only use the flange to keep the price down. I am working on trying to fab up my own flange but it's hard to keep the price down.
for the prices above it includes the following
-- custom steel rear sump oil pan with a trap door baffles
-- a modified pick up to work in the rear sump pan
-- a tube of sealant to seal the pan to the block
This sealant is the best sealant I have ever used I have been working on cars for the last 16+ years for a living and this is the best stuff I have ever used.
I will supply pictures of all the work as I did in on the thread above
My turn around time is about 7-10 days usually faster depending if the wife and kids leave me alone:mrgreen:. I guess it all depends how fast you need it. I could get the rwd pan done in a couple days
this is all you will need for the oil pan stuff
If you have any questions please let me know

Sounds like the pan is the really desirable item.
How about I ask a different question then: If I were to design a sheet steel or aluminum rear sump RB pan, how much would you pay for one?
I have the resources to get pans made, I just need to see if they will bring enough money in to make it worth my while to make them.
I thought the pan was desirable item so I thought I could make a little money on the side and I could help out some people on this forum.I remember getting my rb swap together and trying to find a pan was the biggest pita so I built my own. I have all the welding equipment(tig, mig and plazma cutter and etc) I know if it was a major pita for me I'm sure it is a pain for other people. See my post. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=155153
I went out and bought enough sheet metal and all the welding supplies to do several pans. So far I have built 1 pan which came out great. But I have not sold anymore. I have had tons of pm's asking about the price and etc. My prices are 400.00 for the rwd block and 500.00 for the awd block. Maybe my prices are to high but it takes 10-12 hours to make one. And I alot of materials in the pan.
I guess if you can make them for less than that you could sell alot but so far It has not been worth it. I would like to build more because I really like doing this kind of metal fab.

first on the agenda is make it run. I need to figure out the oil pan though still.
I can build you a oil pan if you like. I built one for rklamb123 a few weeks ago. Check out the post. The post has pictures of the entire process.

Ok here's the deal I'm running in to tuning issues with my rb. I have decided that I need to go to a standalone set up. What would you guys suggest should I go with AEM EMS,APEXI power fc or nistune?
thanks

Yeah there is not much room there to work with. Dam Nissan why they just cant make everything the same way. Well so far I have broke two bits today. I guess I need something stronger. I will keep going at it. I was wondering would putting the dip stick in the pan cause any drop in oil pressure.
Get some nice Carbide drill bits and work in steps from small to big. The key to drilling metal is going very slow and taking your time.
-
Yeah that is what I thought too. But this engine is out of a 98 Stagea so there is no plug on it. I was like dam. I see the spot where it was suppose to be but it is solid. I will ship it back tomorrow I guess.
Hey can you make a steel braided power steering hose. I have the 300zx Z32 and my power steering was on the passenger side. So now I need to get it on the drivers side. Someone said I could bend the current hose to make it work or get a steel braided one made. I rather just do it right and get it over with. lol
I don't have the tools to do a powersteering hose sorry. That's wierd about the dipstick hole. Are you sure it is solid ? There isn't a steel plug in the hole. Have you tried to use a punch to get it out. I can't see nissan making different blocks for different cars. Can you drill out the hole?
-
Sorry about that my brain was on lock up on that one. I meant to say that I do not have a spot for the dip stick. I seen on some blocks they have a plug on the rear part of the block. Mine does not have that. So any suggestion on how to get a dip stick/
Are you sure there is no hole that is plugged up? Both of my rb's had them. it should be on the intake side. How are the guys doing it with the rb20 pans on the rb26 blocks. If I would of know it I would of put a dipstick holder on the side of the pan. The worst case just send it back and I'll put a dipstick on the side of the pan. Don't worry I'll take care of you. As my dad use to say there is more than one way to skin a cat lol:mrgreen:

Hey Pat the pan fit great and the pickup was dead on but I just realize something. My block does not have the spot to put the oil pick up in the back. Any suggestion anyone.
Do you mean the pick up brace? You don't have a 8mm hole in you main cap.

What mods would need to be done to the 200zxr pan for the pickup? Let me know on a price!
what motor?is it a awd block?
-
So any idea how much oil it holds.
between 5-5.5 qts
-
I tack welded a bolt to the bushing and used a slide hammer to pull it out

yes and yes
you need to remove it and install z32 pilot bearing
