  1. the template worked great. I used your template and the photos you gave me. No worries
  2. thanks man. This project has been alot of fun, I really enjoy doing this. I don't have much left to do. It should be ready very soon.
  3. I put the baffles in tonight. I used 4 door hinges. take a look
  4. I fab up the pick up tonight.
  5. Motoman all I need you to send me is the pan and pick up. I don't collect the money until the job is done. I will make your pan look just like RKlamb123's pan. The rb25 pan will work with no problems. The pan you have is the steel pan correct?
  6. that will work, my email is p.bowser@comcast.net did you ship your pick up yet? I can do the motor mounts also
  7. thanks motoman. Just let me know when your ready. I worked on the pan alittle more today. I added alittle more depth to the pan for alittle more oil. As soon as I get the pick up I can fab it up and add baffles and show the finished product.
  8. I saw your link. The pick up should not be a problem. As soon as I get your pick up I can fab it up and finish it. Your very welcome. I think you will be very pleased with this pan. I love doing this kind of work. How much oil do you want the pan to hold? If anyone else needs a pan, please let me know
  9. here are some pics of my progress with your pan. It's coming out awesome. I have to say this is going to be alot better than than the one I made for myself. check it out Ignore the the pick up.It's the unmodified rb20 pick up.
  10. I'm in the middle of making a pan for RKlamb123. I'll post some pics later
  11. pm'ed you. I'll get started asap
  12. Years ago when I got mine it would not work no matter what I did. I took mine apart and found one of the passage ways was not drilled out all the way. So I drilled it out all the way and it has worked for the last 15 years.
  13. I found a stock rb front sump pan today. I going to try to put another pan together this weekend. If anybody needs one please let me know.
  14. this won't be a problem.I'll just have to make the pick up longer. Do you still have the oil pick up off your rb25 I could just modify it. I do remember seeing this on my block.
  15. I can make the pan smaller to hold less oil too. I get all my oil for free so oil changes are no problem for me.
  16. Any engine uses both engine coolant and engine oil to cool the engine so if you can have more oil available the cooler the engine will run. It acts as a oil cooler. And I wanted to have more oil in the pan so I would not run in to any oil starvation problems. Let say at any time there is 2-3 qt of oil in the engine so that means there in still 4-5 qts of oil in the pan. Thats alot of oil still in the pan and that means that there is less chance of oil starvation when braking and high g turns or just giving it hell. I have been giving my engine hell with no oil psi problems.
  17. I'm in Woodstock,Ga which is 30 minutes north of atlanta. If you can get me some pics of the pick up location I could see what I can do. I can build anything you want.
  18. It all depends on the price of the sheet metal. I would need you to send me your old pan and pick up off your rb. I cut the old pan up and use the flange. You can see what I did in the pics above. I can start the job as soon as I get the pan. I would say I could duplicate the one in my pics for around 350-375.00 with a week or less turn around.
  19. I would love to build another, I have a brand new tig welder and plasma I would like to use. What engine do you have? I have a extra rb20 block I can use it to mock up the pan and pick up. I know the rb26 is different.
  20. I cut up the pick up and added a couple inches and made it work.
  21. Here is some pics of mine I made. I was told it wasn't going to work but it works great. I used the stock rb20 oil pan flange and made the rest. build cost was nothing.. It holds 7.5 qts of oil and oil psi is perfect during high g turns and high speed to all out braking.
  22. I would put another gauge on it and see what pressure you get. These 30+ year old gauges are not reliable. My first z had low oil pressure and it was the pump.
