Ok time for a transformers Quote "The driver doesn't pic the car, The car chooses the driver." when i bought my 1978 280z (Stella) it was listed on ebay for $1500, it had most of the interior redone but the exterior was in need of tlc. not only were u buying the car u were buying a spare engine, transmition, rearend, new floorpanels, and boxes of interior stuff. My limit was $2000 so i bid up to that, my mother and me watched as we got out bid. then with 15 minutes left she says "lets put in the min bid and see how high it is." She put in the bid and the screen flashed "You are the current high bidder!" my mom "Sh!t" I dont know what her problem was i was happy, she couldnt believe it she kept saying "its not going to go for that little, someone will outbid us." we watched that screen until it said "You have won the item." I do believe that Stella and I were sposed to be together, she choose me and I choose her. I'll admit that when i first saw her with that clearcoat peeling off and the little cancer spots, that she was so beautiful, that I almost cried i was so happy I do beileve she has a "soul" because when my mom would park Stella behind her 81 280zx (Jack) my mother would put the E brake on and turn off the car, Stella would still roll forward and "bump" Jack. I think she was jelous cause i was Driving Jack alot, do to the fact I couldn't drive her. She wanted him to know that I was hers and not his. I know all my cars have a personallity, mostly because whenever i come into possesion of a new vehicle I get to drive it for about a week then something breaks. I have come to the conclusion that this is the car testing me, to see if I will put the time and money into them to keep them in running order. Are the rods that connect the mirrors to the mounting base metal. If so you could bend those, so there not at a wierd angle and use them as Fender mirrors, has anyone tried that setup

Whenever i drive around in my orange 78, i allways get glances just for the stand out color. when people get real impressed is when i show them what a stock straight six can do. all three times this happened in Lincoln,Ne 1st encounter was with a 86ish camaro with dual exahaust he saw me coming up behind him in the other lane, so he laid on the gas, I went from 3rd gear to 4th and passed him like he was standing still. he pulled up to the light and said "thats a pretty badass little car!" 2nd encounter was driving down the road when i see a red car in my rearview and it looked like a 300 at first glance, then i noticed a horse on the emblem turned out to be a 80ish porche. nothing has made me happier than when that guy said nice car, and i said the same to him, then he goes "yeah but im really digging your car." last one happened on O street, a block after block of lights pull up to next to a 18 year old eagle tallon and im not sure but the driver was Elton John, jk. looked like him though and we both admired each others car. Whenever I drive in Lincoln I never run into the wannabe's. I almost always find the true car lovers and they are always amazed at my 30 year old diamond in the rough.

I've heard a rolling start at the drag strip can make a tranny drop, just do the same thing in your driveway. no jacks needed, no risk of being crushed, you can sit in a nice comfortable car.

I think it was white, you see it again when they go out to the retired base, I think it is tori's, i only guess that because you see him swerve side to side as they drive towards the camera and that is something he would do.

Are there any members here in Nebraska who would be willing to start a Z Club? If we get enough members, then hopefully we could have a Nebraska Z car show. Just had the idea and thought about seeing if anyone would be interested since i know there are some in Lincoln, Omaha, Hastings, and i think Grand Island

Theres a fair amount of people here who have watched knight rider and KITT. I'm pretty sure other people have thought of this but how hard would it be to put a system like the sync system in the new fords. it wouldn't have to have the bluetoothe in it just something that was voice activated where you would have to say "car start" or "car system check" has anyone tried anything remotely like this or am i just crazy?

was there anything wrong with your battery i only ask because my Nissan pickup did the same thing and my battery was being overcharged and was bubbling that means its either the alternator or voltage regulator

1983 280zx The oldest one I've had since I can remember my grandpa bought it for my mom. She drove it till the cam shaft split in half sat for several years cause we thought it wasn't getting fuel. i got interested in it got it fixed then i rear end my ex in my school parking lot 4 months later. got new bumper 3 days later, my parents made me go to a dance with my ex she gets in the car slams the door and the window shatters. she has sat since then. 1981 280z bought at an auction new the guy who owned it wanted it.
