  1. Terry,

    SS Fiber Hood (280Zone?)

    : )

HaHa....I wasn't sure if that was the correct screen name....you got me laughing.....absolutely no foul intended.....hey I even corrected the post!!!:)

  2. I just ordered the rear corvette full panel for $225. Tom said they just pulled two pieces without the exhaust hole. I will be recieving it pretty soon but its going to Texas. Just to let all know they have one more ready to sell. Remember they just got started in business and are still making parts I guess. No excuse for having shabby parts but Im sure they will honor the fixes. They have a lot on the line with buying those molds so lets give them a chance and also hold them accountable for repairs etc....

So....current inventory for my third Z build on body parts:

    G-Nose (Proxlamus..thanks bro!)

    SS Fiber Hood (280Zone...the man!)

    Rear Duck Tail (Paulo)

    Rear Corvette full panel (Zfiberglass)

5 piece IMSA kit (awaiting shipment)

Im thinking of putting the fender vents from the GTO kit if they will fit on the IMSA front fender. Also does Reaction sell the piece that covers the rear quarter window on the 240 or is that part of the rear bucket? I think it would be cool to enclose the quarter windows like the GTO. Im still up in the air whether to get the Pantera hatch or Johns rear fiber hatch with window installed....suggestions?

Ill start on the suspension, brakes and drive train next.....3 years to go!!!

  3. I got a couple of hood vents a while back and I've got them placed in my hood a few weeks ago. The thought was to help hot air escape from the engine compartment, but whether they work or not I like the look anyway. They still need some more work, but these pic's should give you a general idea of how it will look.

    Nice!

  4. A station here in Dallas made a boo boo with their price and was marked at 27 cents instead of $2.07 at the pump and the word spread quickly. You would think that if there is a sudden line of cars in the streets and the police directing traffic that you would check the price of your pumps right away right? Noooo, it took them almost the whole day to figure it out and people were bringing containers and filling up their tanks for like $7. Most of them said it was pay back for the last three months! I just felt a little sorry for the station owner for their error.

The lowest gas i found today was $2.00 at the Tom Thumb stations.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA............DAMMIT...

  5. They do have beautiful women in mongolia, or at least they had one before she got exported to France where I met her...Oh, wait, Terry me and you aren't supposed to care about that anymore, now that we're dead and buried...Take some good pictures! Of the camels. and not just the toes either, the humps too.

HAHAHAHAHAHA...your killing me.. i like the toes better but a double hump doesn't hurt. I will be looking for a translator once I get there. Hell Ill be rich for once in my life!!! hahah. :-)

  6. If you are talking the 4 legged horses, I thought camels are actually faster than a horse over short distances.

At least that is what I remember from a bad movie I once saw.

Can't believe you spent as many years in the Marines as you did and never ate mystery meat on a stick.

Or a Gyro. Aren't those suppose to be mutton?

Hey pop I think that would be YAK! I rememebr eating YAK before..pretty tough stuff. I rememebr flinging it across the room trying to bite off a piece. Im up this AM getting ready and we had a nice size earth quake that lasted about 1 minute...cool stuff. Like a vibrating massage for the whole city at once...:-P Next message will be from Mongolia....out...

  8. 3.54 open R200

I'm like 95% sure its dead. I dont see anything crazy happening with the CV's and this is some LOUD clacking and binding happening right in the center of the rear.

To be fair I've been pulling shavings out of this diff for over a year now. I dont think its liking my current power/torque.

Is this gonna keep happening or was it just time for mine in particular?

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. . .

If its an open diff expect it to last for about 100 runs or so. Ive broke 4 of them now. Its the PIN that breaks in the center of the gears. If we could get someone to fab a billet pin replacement they may last alot longer. I am looking into that when I get back. The rest of the diff is just fine, its just that damn pin that breaks..

  9. I was pulling 1.59--1.63s on Mickey T ETS. I was pulling 12.5s at 112 to 113 with a 2800 stall before with 1.8s and 9s on the 60. Once I changed to the 3500 stall I picked up almost 3 tenths on the 60 and 2 more down the strip but lose mph a little because of the slippage of the convertor. If I lock it in third it will run a 112 but times do not increase...so 11.9 12.00 all day consistent. Just wondered if i went tunnel ram dual quad with my cam would do. I run the XR282HR with AFR 190s. Thinking to going XR288 with a 383 upgrade when I get back to Texas. Maybe that tunnel ram setup would work good with that. I really like the look you have. Looks like a blower but not!!

  10. That car will not run without a radiator.

Maybe that is why he is selling the kit rather than keeping it.

I doubt that car has ever been driven. He replace the upper raditor cross piece with an articlating strut bar. That thing must flex like crazy

Guys, with my experience, the alchohol carbed cars that ran in San Angelo didnt use a radiator or a water pump on thier cars. Alchohol burns alot colder than gas. I rememebr the intakes being ice cold to the touch at times. I dont know about street action but you def need one if you ran gas as we all know.

    Interesting...
