    Thanks Sparks...the emblems have two prongs and need holes drilled to punch into. The 350Z hood emblem was just tape backed. I lowered the front spoiler only to see if it makes a difference down the track at over 120MPH..The bad thing is that I now hit everything in the road if Imnot careful..

    Hey guys I bought the 350Z fender emblems and replaced the old 240 rear quarter window emblems with them. Tell me what you all think. I think it was meant to be and gives a more modern stance.

    Also I took Baastads idea of lawn trim and did my lower front spoiler. what do you all think about that? Im taking it to the track once more on the 7th and will try for a 10.7/8 run with timing adjustments...

    Twin Turbo 3 liter vs V8 Powerplants

    Just my two cents worth. I have been around Zs for 20 plus years now and have drove L6s built and even a turbo. Your really comparing Apples to Oranges. Besides the sound differences, you cant compare Turboed engines to NAs, especially power differences. I guess it all depends what your looking for. If you like boost and the wow factor go ProCharged/Turboed LS1 etc, then theres no comparison with possibilities. In other words with all being equal.....theres no replacement for displacement and thats just the law of nature not my biases.....lol.

     

    BTW, if you look at a typical turboed RB or 2JZ etc, you have some doing 11.00s at around 128 to 130 MPH. A mildly built V8 is doing it at only 120-122 or so. Torque is where its at and how fast you can get it and maintain it. 1.3 seconds lost on lag can mean 3 seconds down the quarter! Turboes make it up down the big end but sometimes its all over before it starts. Now just ask TurboMiester, he has the best of both worlds. Just some thought on my side. No bad on turboes just some food for thought.

    300ZX Turbo/non Turbo CV axles 1984-1989

    Mike as long as you dont get the 1988 SE turbo axles they are all the same spline wise. My current diff came out of a 1985 non turbo and the axles were 4 bolt. The 87 and 89 axles are the same splines as mine. However if you find a 1988 SE axle set Ill take em!

    Yep I was wondering the same thing but being a gentleman I am......also since Im a little jealous about other cars, why is there a 510 and Gazelle in the timeslip database? Isnt this a Z board? Seems a bit inappropriate dont ya think? And yes Im jealous, at least I admit it!

    Whew! Thanks guys I cant tell you how happy I am and didnt break anything. It all came from the help and support I have recieved over the years with Hybridz.org! I promote the hell out of all of you and its paying off. We have three Hybrids here now and a forth coming! People really like these cars! I had people taking pics all night long and looking at the ride. I tell everyone to logon to this site to get more info on the possibilities! My 10 sec pass was against a bike that ran 11.1. Its a little dark but can be lightened up on the player. He said to me "Damn dude WTF"? It was fun! Now I have to think about putting her away....SOOOOOOO SAD!!!! Or maybe one more week! Well gotta go to work! Oh I made a vid from inside the car too but have to transfer it to MPG! Talk to ya guys later. Oh Datsun 510 I was trying real hard to run a 10.964 but fell short! I am not worthy!!! lol. Later guys!

    Finally, first run got a 10.98 then a 10.97! Only managed a 7.01 in the 1/8th and a trap of only 122.78 tops. A little wierd but got no traction trying to launch and spray so I just hit it after the launch. Well its been done so must plan a 9 sec ride in the next few years! This is addicting. Ill post the slip tomorrow!!!! What a rush,,,,,
