Hi Forrest,
What are your intentions for the E-brake?

Money Order issued from a Bank is also good insurance, better than post office M.O.

Hi cobraz240z
Did you make your own brackets to mount the front and rear calipers?

Well, I guess this thread is getting highkacked Cobraz240z :) .
Mikelly, I agree with you there no question Ross's set up is awsome. Actually everything he has on his site is well thought off and engineered. But, I was just curious about the Willwood only parts setup.

In regards to Cobraz240z's setup, I think everybody is right. Whether you buy it ready or piece it, it's up to the individual and the cost are almost the same anyways. But, I'am curious to see how Cobraz240z managed to keep the original 240z offset with Willwood parts only. I checked the part #s and when you add up the thikness of the disk and hat, it does not match. That is why, I think, ArizonaZ, MML and JSK made there hats to maintain the original offset. Correct me if I'am missing something.
Hurry up Cobraz240Z and post your pics, bro. Your losing your thread.

I just do a search for "fairlady" and look at the pictures.
I have never ordered anything through them.
I mentioned this on another forum and some people got pissed. Apparently it works well enough that they didn't want others to find out about it.
I hate when people think the sun only shines for them. Great link vachonz, Thanks.

Sorry, it was sleeping.

Ooh, this place has a design of wheels I like. I wonder how much shipping to the US would be though...
It cost $140UK to Canada, it should give an idea of cost to US. Which model are you looking at?

Here is a link that will help you see the setup for the front/rear brakes.

Here is another approach. How about L28 dished pistons. According to Lengine program if I combine this piston with the L28crank/240rod combo the deck would end up being 2.730 above deck. Now, here is the approach. If I shave the piston let say 2.7 I would end up with the factory deck height, it would be like a raised pin height by 2.7, no? As for the compression it would depend, if buy shaving I end up flat or dished. Guys, what do you think, would it work or I got it wrong?

SalemZ try this link. Enjoy.

By the time the machine mods are done to make an alternate forged piston fit' date=' couldn't you just have ordered a set from Summit? I remember someone saying it was under $600 for pistons, rings and pins through them...
Otherwise, contact Ross, JE, Venolia, etc and they'll have the correct valve clearances, etc...[/quote']
Hi Z-Gad
Your are right but my budget is limited. If I had the money I would just go with ArizonaZ, they are designed for this combo.
cheers, Ari
-
Thanks NZeder. Did you go with the L28crank/L24 rod combo or changed route? It seems ArizonaZ is the only solution, expensive though. How's your build coming along?

Hi guys
Would the LZ22S piston be a good low cost alternative for my L28 crank/240 rods? 87mm bore, 35mm pin height and 9.33cc dish = 8.3:1, same as a stock L28 but with a different rod/stroke ratio also good for pump gas. It will be approx .5mm below deck, does it matter? Also, if I shave the piston flat would I increase or decrease compression? I'am thinking it might increase but since its below deck, thats were I get confused.
Cheers, Ari
