  1. ^^^^ The use of a cheap part is not my motive , I saw these seats on an import car magazine , they look good and the size seem to fit the S30 cabin. Then the idea to ask opinions on this site was a way to get some feedback on these particular seats in red. Hey I have a thing for Silver cars with red seats, yes I can have them dyed but I want either an old style Recaro in red if possible or the style in question . I know that the seats that are in my car are expensive and all that , I want some thing less bulky and 70's in that cabin
  2. AMEN , those are words that can only be emitted by an LSx/S30 addict
  3. The OP is asking for opinions/experiences on V8 swaps . Let me add this to my take on the subject on hand, the positive rewards on these tin can Nippon GT's with V8 mills resides on a solid platform with the proven chassis reinforcements , selection of proven components that are vividly share on this forum . It all come comes down to $ and ingenuity
  4. My 2 centavos >>> I was very lucky that I got a well built LS1 on a super clean Cali Z , if there are no short cuts in the modification with high details on the work done, the rewards are like having great sex all the time with a fit , trim , clean and seductive babe
  5. This beast will have strong bones and a screaming mill.
  6. Do what you want , it is yours. My 2 centavos >>> these cars are not Ferrari's in value or a collectors dream car , they do have a significant nostalgic value and are an expression of their owners . They are great platforms to do a sea of modifications and if ''VALUE'' is a consideration , recent car magazines have indicated that resto moded GT classics values are on the rise. So the ones that own a moded S30 have the best of two worlds , classic looks and modern guts. PS: keep and guard the documentation and it's period engine/tranny/ plus what ever you replace from it , so if in the future that beauty that you will create is up for grabs, the new owner has the option to reverse it, if that is his or her will
  7. + 1, the console armrest will be a solution with added use
  8. My dos centavos on your dilemma, hunt for a 280 or a 260, these go less coin than a 240Z.
  9. ^^^ One is in her winter dorm with no phone , the other one is always on call
  10. I have a complete set , in real good shape, yours for 125$ plus shipping
  11. You did good with that budget , but you are missing the Z magic and uniqueness of a V8 S30
  12. Rear drive cars do "SUCK'' in wet pavement, so proper techniques in wet driving are a must and proper tires are just one component FWIW
  13. I was able to see and touch the seats, they look the part but the bolsters are soft and the leather seating area is very thin . So the temptation is over, thanks for the comments . I have a very nice set of Recaro seats on my car but I what to change the look of my cabin
  14. The seating area is leather the rest in vinyl , I believe that the fitment will be compatible with the S30 cabin >>
  15. Demoted , made my contribution $ and "demoted WTF''
  16. My dos centavos>>> it will look the part if you reverse the colors as the original
  17. Forget stock , LS1 conversion on an S30 is the way to go, best of two worlds >> Classic looks and modern reliability + HP with great mpg's
  18. ^^^^ built like a tank and they go through a gas tank like there is no tomorrow

    Lets trade seats.

^^^^ The PO has spoken , you know how much I like my now Z , but she is going into a small interior/cabin transformation , an old school racer wood steering wheel with a vintage wood shift knob (pics in gallery) . Those seats are nice, expensive and smell terrific but I would like to have these type >>> in leather , I want the old European flair on this Nippon/American BEAST
  20. I have a set of leather RECARO seats in my Z with rails to fit a 240Z, they are in mint condition >>> , I will like to do a trade for a more period type set like these>>>, So lets see what proposals are there, the trade will require a clean set + plug a play and shipping to and from MD zip 20723
  21. It will need to be mod in order to fit the GM shaft, a new metal sleeve insert will be in order . My current wood steering needed this wood knob to give the cabin a more exotic look
