I am a "new comer", but not to the brand or the Z, I see your valid point. In my case I am an aficionado , yes I can do some light wrenching, but can not diagnose/or have the mechanical know how. I get my info from your archives, it's full and vast with tons of info.We suffer for the instant temporary mentor on a present crisis. We are victims of instant info thanks to Google. FWIW
On my controller the temp knob went south, not planing on getting a new unit and need info on retrofitting just the bad knob, is there a fix.......Advice. Or is there a unit on a shelf collecting dust for a song. Thanks....... here a pic of unit
Good point, the engine temp is what needs to be monitor, then please advice on the LS1 the correct way to monitor this, is there a plug and play device/gauge.
I like the look of the original gauges, and do not want to mess with wires/harness/or any thing electrical . A simple way to read the temperature is my goal.
My original Z gauges are adapted to the LS1 harness , but the 40+ old yr temperature gauge is erratic and I don't want to fool with the original gauge or the connection. Is there a way to plug a gauge to my aluminium radiator and have it under my dash. Please advice. Thanks
Mine has a plug and is not connected to the radiator, is this OK, the info I came across goes all over the board. Some gurus say that is not OK, that it may create internal issues, some other gurus say that it is OK to plug. Please advice. Thanks
