  1. I put the 14" wheels on and the hit just a little. But Theel fits and it spins ok. I will know in 2 weeks when My Z is running. Mike
  2. Integra"s can be fast. My wife's car is a 95 Integra GSR with a 6psi supercharger on it. I had it on the dyno 255 whp 12.7@112 on the track. mike
  3. "How well does it work? Is it a nice smooth linear action? " Very smooth. I Do not know why I always have problems posting pics. I can upload them into my album but when it is time to post them they do not post.
  4. Dan here are the pics that you asked for. The cable is from a 95 Acura integra GSR, but you could use other honda Throttle cables from the junk yard. The throttle cable fits the Fire wall side of the Z with only a few mods almost perfect. I drilled out the ball on the gas lever, and then made a small cut to let me install the cable onto it. Everything only took about 30 minutes. I ordered my Radiator from Summit but they sent me the wrong part, so now I have to wait for the right radiator. I have about 2-3 weeks left and the Z will be on the road.
  5. Thanks Ross Looks like the 14" wheels are going to fit but tight.
  6. Dan I just put my throttle cable on today, and I found out that Acura integra throttle cable is almost a direct bolt in. The fire wall side of the throttle cable fits right in the Z-car.
  7. I used a 97 Vortec 350 in my car before, along with a small roller cam from Sallechevrolet that bolts right in and makes good power. Edelbrock makes the performer RPM for this motor(if you need it I will sell it cheap). All of the accessory bracketry from your old motor will bolt right in. Mike
  8. In my kit it came with 2 types of brake lines. One of them hooked up just fine, but the other brake line has a different fitting on it. Has anyone else run into this, or did they send me the wrong brake line? Mike
  9. There was someone on LT1tech.com that had a 95 lt1 for sale in SF. Mike
  10. JoeinCA I will try to get a pic, or you can just look at it yourself. Only 15 miles away. Mike
  11. Tim I used a vacuum line to suck the fluid into the intake. Dealers do this all the time to clean the motor. mike
  12. Tim I Took my Supercharged Acura Gsr to the smog last week and did not pass, not even close. I then whent down to Kragen and bought some Pass emisions bottle, I put 1/2 the bottle in the tank and put the other 1/2 in the engine using a vacuum line. The next day I passed without any problem. You might want to try it. Mike
  13. Dan the Corvette brackes will not work with the AC. Why did you cut the tunnel?????????????? The 4l60e fits just fin with just a little work. Good luck Mike
  14. NO, you do not need it. exhaust pipe clearance is tight but ok. I have 2.5 exhaust pipe on each side of the trans. But if you can get it then go for it. Mike
  15. It would cost you less $$ if you just put a LT1/T56 in the car. The wiring is not that bad at all, just a few wires to hook up. Good luck Mike
  16. I use to shift at 7600rpm, I know 1fastz use to push it to 8000rpms in 3rd..
  17. I use to run a th350 trans before with a 3500 stall, I was able to run 10 sec runs no problem. I sold the car to 1fastz (dean) and he put nos on the same car and ran 9.63@150mph. He a had a early 260z before that would run 10 sec runs before also.
  18. Put a auto in that car and they will hold just fine.
  19. I bought my factory service manuel from Ebay. $25 and at the time I found about 4 on there for sale. Mike
  20. Dan I have hooker part# 2100 on my Lt1 without any problems. Mike
  21. I used a welpac 100 for many years with some good luck. I now have a Hobart 175amp 220volt welder. If you are going to spend the $$ you might want to go for the 220 volt and at least a 150-175amp welder. About $650 on ebay Mike
  22. I am in about 4,000 right now and I have about 2-3 more months left I should have everything done for less than 6,000. My last big bill will be for the paint. But for less than 6k i was able to build a car with, 1972 240z 95 Corvette motor 4l60e trans Fuel system R230 rear end Rear disk brakes Roll cage, sub frames Tokico shocks and springs Headers and ex Corvette shifter And many more So it does not take that much $$ just Time. I started last year and I built everything. I have built carb v8 swaps for less than 3,000 before, so it can be done but you have to find the good deals. Mike
  23. I built my exhaust for my LT1 and I went with 2.5 from the headers into a flowmaster Y and then into one 3" out the back. The 3" fits just fine on the Z-car, I had more room this time around with the R230 and new diff mount. But 311rwhp is good. My first 280Z had about the same HP and would run 12.4@112mph this was with a 2720# weight. I would like to see some track times. mike
  24. Why would you run a 21/2" ex on that motor? Mike
