  1. Mike, DarkHorse Performance is another option if your in the market for a TremmecTKO600. http://www.darkhorseperformance.com/ Mark
  2. So Tim, are the seats a good fit? Were they difficult to install? What did they cost you? Mark
  3. The big question is, are the Pantera Group 4 flairs steel or fiberglass? If they are fiberglass, I don't want them since it will only a matter of time before the paint will crack due to the dissimilar material expansion and contraction rates. Metal is where it's at baby! Mark
  4. I'm drooling all over myself... I'm in for a group buy!!! Mark
  5. Pete, I am perfectly fine with using G-force gear sets, what I don't want is G-force assembling my T5! We need a superb shop to do the assemble at a fair price! Mark
  6. Pete, this sounds promising! I went Tex Racing at www.texracing.com and while they do build racing transmission, I was unable to see if they manufacture their own parts. Also I didn't see any T5 parts/transmissions listed on their site! You should call Tex Racing and get these questions answered, maybe Tex Racing will build and sell T5's direct? Mark
  7. Pete, I'm in, but I've gone over to the "DarkSide", the blue oval that is . Anyway, it shouldn't matter in regards to the gear sets, going Ford is actually easier. Let me know when you guys want to do this and I'll be ready! Mark
  8. Hey Pete, any word from Bruce at modern drivelines about getting 'Gforce-like' T5's? I'm in the market! Mark
  9. I am under no illusion that SSI will be there for me when I retire as it was for my parents. Example, my father is currently in the hospital and is dieing of congestive heart failure. He was a corrections officer in the state of California for 28 years and opted out of SSI in favor of a pension. He retired in 1982 and used up his pension a few years later. The state has continued to pay his pension benefits long after his retirement ran out! And that does not upset me because he served many years as a public servant. Unlike my father, I'm a business owner, self-employed if you will, I must pay for ALL of my retirement as well as provide for my family. The last time I checked I had paid something over $60K into SSI and I would forfeit it all tomorrow, IF, the government would stop taking it from me. Yes, you heard me right, forfeit it all to the government, so they could help someone else. But let me out of the system!!! Mark p.s. I know the government will never let me go......
  10. Tim, since your Z doesn't have a motor anymore, the trailer would be a great idea! Mark
  11. Thanks guys First off, I need to thank Tim240z since he gave me the link to the site where I first saw the truck! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/index.php3? Joshua, I'll call the previous owner and ask since I need to know so I can get a replacement when needed. Mike C, Yep that's the site Tim sent me to! datsunlover, I don't worry about gas prices too much, it will be a work truck so I'll write it all off on my taxes! Mark
  12. Real quick from what I hear! Mark
  13. I purchased a 70 Chevy C20 LWB for my business this past week and while it needs some body & paint, the complete drivetrain is either new or freshly rebuilt, here is a partial list: 1970 Chevy C20 with 1972 front C30 suspension and 1 ton disk brakes up front, all new tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, master cyl and booster, springs, shocks, driveline. Eaton 14B rearend with a Detroit locker & 4.10's. Fresh 454 4-bolt main block bored 40 over (462?) with a Comp Cams 4X4 cam. The truck is currently running JBA headers into dual 2.5" exhaust with 70 series flow masters. Rebuilt with all top shelf parts. Other than that, it's stock beyond the port matched intake, mild cam, Edelbrock 750 carb, fuel pump and headers. It's got about 800 miles and 20 hours into break in. Also a billet aluminum belt drive, aluminum radiator, new flex fan, billet brackets and new 120 amp alt. Fresh Th400 and TC with a B+M stage 2 shift kit, deep TCI tranny pan and Lokar Th400 kick down. I also have the following new in boxes: carpet kit, Front & rear bumpers, dash pad, sun visors, inner door panels, plastic grill insert and chrome door guards. 16" aluminum rims and 33" tires. Also, I have a rear mount gas tank, straps, fuel filler neck from a 86 Suburban to go with it and a hummer 2 billet fuel door and finally a billet aluminum gauge panel with all new Auto meter guages. 14. Gay!!! Flaming Gay!!!!!!!!!
  15. If G-Force is selling them then there must be some market? Mark
  16. I believe that a G-Force alternative could not only be manufactured, but would also sell well! Think about it, lots of Mustangs and F-bodies used them, not to mention the Z and other hybrid possibilities. At 75 lbs. dry weight, it's hard to beat weight wise and as G-Force proved, bullet-proof gear sets can be made! p.s. I'd buy one in a "Cocaine Heart-beat"! Mark
  17. Mike, I'm pissed too!!! I guess I'll have to look at Jerico or Liberty Gear, since I won't own any notchy or over-rated transmissions like the ones Tremec sells.
