  3. As some of you know, I'm selling some Ultra High Performance parts on this site and also on several racer classified sites. One of the responses I received HAS TO BE A SCAM. I'll let you, my fellow HybridZ brothern be the judge! First response I received: -----Original Message----- From: pharrel4real@yahoo.co.uk [mailto:pharrel4real@yahoo.co.uk] Sent: Friday, January 16, 2004 12:15 PM To: machristensen@netzero.net Subject: Reply To Your Ad at the RPMnet.com Classifieds Good day, I am inetersted in buying your said item and i will like you to get back to me with your last offering price and the present condition of it so that payment can be made out to you via USA cashier check and also i will take care of the shipping myself so hope to hear from you soon, my regards to you and your family, THANK`S I e-mailed back the following: Thank you for expressing interest in the parts I posted at RPMnet.com. I have listed different parts, at different times though. If you are referring to the Kryptonite crankshaft, Carrillo rods and BRC pistons, they are used but in excellent condition. These engine parts are of the highest quality and were originally used in an 800 hp sprint car racer. The price I'm asking for is $2,300 US dollars. That's less than half the cost of purchasing them new! I can crate these parts for shipment once payment arrangements can be made. E-mail me or call me at 916-524-2011 to make said arrangements. Thank you again and I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Mark Christensen Ps. With whom am I corresponding? Then I received this CRAP!!! 4. Tim240z, are you coming to the April 3rd NorCal Rio Vista meet? All you SoCal brotheren should attend this meet. Mark
  5. Les Derfler, Sprint car racing is popular in Northern California and through a associate of mine I was able to purchase a aluminum 410ci Rodek/Brodix "Outlaw" sprint car long block assembly for pennies on the dollar. This all goes to show that if you search patiently in the right places, you can find killer deals. p.s. Now I just need the money to finish it. Mark
  6. If it was ME, and it's not, I would build a 350 sbc using a aluminum 400ci block, like the sprint car boy's run, I have one! Then use a 3.00" forged steel crank and 6.25" H-beam rods and custom pistons to make a ultra-lite weight 11:1 comp 350 that will run on 87 octane and make well over 500HP with the right cam and heads! But that's just me:) Mark
  7. Glad to see some people considering the G-Force T-5! Check-out the link N2744 posted and then click on the "View Ratio Chart", see the different ratio's with or without syncro's I want the "Helical-cut dog ring ratio's with a .59 fifth. Just think full-on power shifts without the straight-cut gear noise! Mark
  8. Yeah and kill the BOLD CAPS it's shouting on this site. Also post all future posts in the appropriate forum. Thank you for your cooperation. Mark
  9. stjeotalon, if you're planning to make that much power and drag race it with sticky tires/slicks then you better think about going with a stout live axle to avoid breaking parts. Mark
  10. How much (power/torque) can a r200 handle? No one really knows since either the halfshafts or the stub axles will fail before the R200. Mark
  11. Here we go again FACT: The IRS is superior in handling on uneven surfaces. Choose this if handling is your most important consideration on any surface. FACT: On a smooth road/track a properly setup "Live axle" car will handle as well as a properly setup IRS and BETTER than a poorly setup IRS. Ultra High HP cars (that hook) will 99.99% of the time require a strong live axle. Didn't Scotty break his vette IRS? How about Stony? Ok no more ranting. Mark
  12. Your a cruel man DavyZ. I'm trying to buy a house, then I can justify spending the money to finish what will be one of the fastest/quickest Z's on this site. All I want for christmas is a 9 sec n/a sbc:) Mark
  13. Gee Dan give me a break, I'm still basking in the warm glow of the moment! But seriously, that was a blast, too short, but a blast never the less. That has to be a low 4 second 0-60 ride and a head turner to boot! Yes you made my day, thank you. Mark
  14. Dan, ignoring me won't work. I know you too well. Come-on, chime in. Mark p.s. If you don't respond soon I'll sic "Alex" on you!
  15. Nic-Rebel450CA, sorry to here about your Z, get the legal/insurance stuff taken care of and then I'll show you a clean 72 240Z that I have for sale. Mark
  16. Ok Dan, is it too late to get that ride now? Congrates on getting it finished and now what's the ETA for your Viper Blue Baby? Mark
