was the backfire and actual pop back fire or just like a , well its a hard to describe sound...kind of like if the extra fuel in the exhaust didnt ignite all at once but burned slowly
my car sounds like the second one but that still dosent explain your RPM loss
mabe your cat burned up? check and see if exhaust pressure is different...

try spraying some carb cleaner in the filter and give her a crank
and did you give any mind to this?

my car sputtered one time and after wouldnt start when i changed my injectors and it turned out this was my problem

i have heard the T5 is the same as the one in the 80's mustangs, is that right or am i all wrong?

i do have oil in the car. i checked it before i checked the compression. the oil smelled really bad, not like regular oil smell, i almost threw up. i am about 100 miles past my oil change mileage though.
wont oil smell like that if i gets water in it? i have a few oil drip pans outside and they have that sour water/metal/oil smell

waste of money, the car should at leeast fire and turn over for a while with the NA injectors, the fuel rate is only a little lower for na injectors
chill out turbo injector juys, T injectors and regulators are still good but MPG is good too
i got a ?, are NA and Turbo regulators the same?

no it looks clean
i payed 2100 for an 81 GL 2+2 t-top with a real good interior and several rust spots

try taking off the filter and play with the throttle and see what happens
only thing else i can think of is a ring failing but you have the same compression so DO YOU HAVE ANY OIL IN THE CAR? that was to sound dramatic

i found a 82 280zx for sale in waycross GA and decided not to get it(cost too much and was very rusty)i liked the way the 82-83 bumpers looked on it though and wondered how much trouble it would be to swap my 81 bumpers with 82 bumpers
is there somewhere that sells new or reman bumpres besides a junkyard?
also could i just paint my bumpers? they are the same basic shape...

also there is a very nice but rusty 82 280zx for sale in waycross GA at a place called buddys auto mart...$2400 to me it was a little much

hi im 16, the youngin of the bunch, im poor and cant aford to restore a 240z or 280z so im restoring a 81 280zx 2+2, i got all my info from these forums and common sence (some times that dosent work)
also at my school have a good automotive class that i take, it helps a little

im pretty sure bout no vacuum leaks but not electrical, whats making me angry is that it could be any one of the sensors or a combination and i cant wiggle all of them at a time i just need a list of all nessisary sensors or any electrical wires or vacums that are needed for the car to start

stock replacements, dont get me wrong, this car worked fine before except for injector leaks
Gollum, your swap was a much larger increase in size (stock to turbo injectors)mine was really sorry stock to correctly working stock, could this need for a tune aply to me? also, how do i do the tune?

are ther any more of those kind of nessisary sensors or switches?
i have every thing needed for combustion i just dont have combustion, its something to do with the computer and or sensors

ok i put on the new harnesses today and it still wont start,
i have spark
i have fuel pressure
i have air
im sure i have compression
i read last night where the temp sensor or some sensor(may have been the 02 sensor) would keep the car from cranking
any input or questions would be great

thanks, think i may have found the problem, its in the injector harness/conector, i bought new ones to replace the old one but decided to keep the old ones because they were in better shape than i thought,
problem is that i dont think the old clips are working with the new injectors... thanks though-that might not be the problem and ill be right back here tomarrow afternoon
any one near valdosta?

nice z, if i had the money the style of your z is what i would go for but the style im having to do is the basic lower front bumper and mabe a set of 82 front/rear bumpers but luckily i have a nice set of 14in enkei rims...![:)](//forums.hybridz.org/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
