  1. I am not gonna get too much into this, but the fact is if you know what you are doing the 4G63 is an awesome motor to get cheap power out of, my 165k motor that has lived the last 40k over 400whp at can say so and my friends 510hp Dyno dynamics daily in the summer stock bottom end will say so. If you don't like it or think it crankwalks or whatever this motor isn't for you.
  2. Looks very nice, Damn you guys and your black and white Zs, thats what color my DSM is and I swore i would go different with the Z but you car looks awesome. Nice speaker project, I think its pimp.
  3. I have never head of mike or oscar. Either way, I think u should build a rotary powered Z you seem to be good at it and they are deafeningly loud.
  4. Yetter you last post is the same reason that DSMs get a bad rep., cheap easy to mod cars that get in the hands of the wrong people and they complain when it goes wrong because of the lack of maintenance. I am impressed with your knowledge about rotaries, but you are completely wrong about DSMs and 3Ss, We had a local make over 500 DD awhp for a year on a stock bottom end on a 3S, it made 700+ before being sold, 3S are just bigger more expensive compared to DSMs and have the same problem. It seems like you have had a bad experience with 6G72, but I can honestly say I don't think its the motors downfall there are plenty high mileage 3Ss to prove it and running a motor dry is never good. If you are on a 3rd longblock, its safe to say something is up and it might not be the motor. BOT: The only reason I am not doing a 4G swap is that I already have one in my talon and I have always wanted to build a v8 car and this is my chance. Bang for buck these motors are hard to beat and if you know what you are doing you will have an amazing car, I say stroke the hell out of it, T-56, and bottle. Throw as much at this setup as you can as you are eliminating the weakpoint in DSMs, the drivetrain. Good luck.
  5. Yes i definitely want to see this up and running.
  6. What are you using to tune? can I get a log.
  7. Nice, its the first time with this setup at the track, next time I would aim to better that time, but with turbo power shouldn't most your gains be on the back end?
  8. hahahaha, you cant stay away from turbos. Glad to see you are back. Badass. Keep up the good work.
  9. About damn time. I can't wait to see the pretty motor/engine bay with all the powdercoating you guys do.
  10. I never was a big fan of Z31's, well a little, but your car is gorgeous I want.
  11. ^thanks for answering that, but seriously i mean are these thing just insane to handle making that much tq all over the place.
  12. SO how is the traction with all that TQ. I really want an lsx powered Z, but I'm afraid with rediculous amounts of tq in a light chassis that I will just get a tire burner. Sounds like fun though.
  13. How does someone come along just to see and drool around these cars? I have a '75 260Z, but its at home in MN. *edit* i found the link to the zcon site, now my question i am just stationed here for some active duty time and i am stuck on duty till at least 6pm everyday. So basically i just want to come and see these cars, maybe at the hotel?
  14. Glad to see you are still alive, and for once not having money worked in my favor. Good luck with your project.
  15. Thanks man, I can't wait to try this.
  16. That is sick. Keep up the good work.
  17. Nice, looks good. I am thinking of going with a 5.3 setup. I don't have much money but I don't want to put a heavy motor in so a 5.3 is my compromise. Keep the updates coming.
  18. That looks like fun. Dizzle don't worry, just get to work. lol
  19. Thats lame. Come on man start that thing up. why would you deprive yourself of hearing that beast run.
  20. How stripped is that LQ9 Z you picked up? I am leaning toward an aluminum V8 for my Z. Great project you have, reading this def. makes me want to pay you a visit not to mention you seem to be a speed junky like me. Good luck and keep up the good work.
