  2. I'm looking into putting an r230 viscous in my r200 carrior but I don't know how to modiphy the 300zx tt cv's to work in my car. Would it be cheaper to get a set of z31 viscous cv's and swap the splines on to my 280zxt cv's or modify the 300zx tt cv's. tbs

  10. ok what areas should be done, can I get shorter valve guides, under cut the valves, can I get some pictures of other peoples head port jobs in the bowls. I'm just trying to do it my self its no big deal I can do it just fine I've been pracitying on a junk p79 so I'm all set I just need to know the best areas and other things to do. tbs

  12. Quantrex yes it was over borred and I do belive it has every thing to make it work except intake and carb. I haven't had a chance to talk to him to get all the details and prices but I'll get them. What kind of things do you want to know about them I can think of a few like year, miliage, how they were ran, did the last person beat the hell out of them, how have they be stored? If you have any others just let me know and I'll get them answered soon. tbs

  14. yah buddy it does need it and I found out from bernard that the speed sensor in the speedo is the same for the 280zx and 300zx so I'm going to go with it and just swap out for another one of mine. Also the speed sensor is used to clean the mas, run the ASCD, and make the z Lady talk if a door is open or parking break is on. I think thats all it's used for and that it is used in this set up with the AFR, if it wasn't I won't even screw with it. tbs
  15. a friend of mine just got two motors both are 351 winzers just one was bored out to be a 377 and needs to be put to gether and needs a intake and carb. Is anyone interstead in buying one of these he wants to clear up shop space. tbs
  16. whats the deal with the speed sensor I know my 280zxt has one but it won't send the signal to the ecu is it because it's a auto or what? Or is it a different sensor in the back of the speedometer? I need to get this fixed so I can put in an a hks afr and upgrade the injectors on the z31 ecu for a bigger turbo and more boost. tbs
  17. ok how does the digital dash send out the signal to the digital display since the cable isn't hooked any whare to it. Do it conver the cables movements to an A/C signal and then sends it to the display through wires?? tbs
  18. can anyone help me with this I'm looking to set up the z32 ecu instead of the z31 I have now so I can use an aoexi AFC to control my fuel for larger injectors. Can anyone help me out here I'm really in need of asestance. tbs

  20. What do mean the DSM guys use it and I already have a Maf I am running the z31 ecu so no biggie and we both use a 6 wire maf. and we both use a cam or crank sensor to send ignition signal. so I think if they do it then so can the few of us with the z31 set up. tbs
  21. I've been reading up on hks and apexi air fuel regulators that change the voltage being supplied to the ecu so you can run larger injectors has anyone ever tried this?? I know I can get on ebay and get an apexi afc for like 250 all the time and it looks cheap and easier to tune then a standalone. tbs
  22. I would like to know what the big deal is using stock flat tops in my zxt. I'm mounting in the intercooler, I've goten rid of stock injection and am putting on a SDS. So whats the problem?? You can use forged or hyperutechic but why not stock cast L28 pistions? I've heard remores that its the ring gap but hey when you get forged pistions you don't get to pic the ring gap and they just give you rings that are very strong so why can't I get stock crome allo rings for the non turbo pistions and run them in my zxt I know I'm not going to get as much compression as a non turbo zx but I'll have more then the stock turbo car had and I can spool and turbo even faster. So why won't this work?? tbs
  23. 80 psi!! dang thats a lot of oil pressure can you explane what shimming you plan on doing and why you want 80m psi. I did everything that Jeffp did to the pump for my pressure and I'm very happy with it. tbs
  24. the automatic turbo oil pump is the best. It has the largest gear off all. next comes the manual turbo and then the crapist of all the N/A for me I wanted the automatic turbo pump to supply my turbo with oil and I would say get the 81 automatic turbo oil pump it will bolt right up and will fit any datsun L6 motor. tbs
  25. If I remember right the speed sensor is in the speedo, you need to unhook it and hook it up the the 130 speedo off of a 85 speedo. Not to hard I did it in about 5 minutes after I got both speedos out. But even before I switched out the speedos my cruise didn't work so I have to hunt down the problem and fix it. Also if you need more info look on www.zcar.com under the 70-83 tech and do a scearch for the 130 speedometer and you'll find all you need to know about the speed sensor. it will just tell you what I told you and that you'll need the ciucit board off of a car with cruis.
