  3. I'm planning on doing this and I'm going to make mine out of conncution bent and to use it as a pattern out of 3in or 2.5in to the cat for now and then I'm going to make the rest of my exhaust out of 3in later but not now I'm just wanting to get rid of that crappy down pipe for flow. tbs
  4. the ground wire goes to the ecu ground it's a current that runs through the sensor and the resistant is created through the temperture in the sensor the more resistance the less voltage gets through which tells the car that it's still cold and needs to dump for fuel as the temp increase more voltage gets through and there is less fuel delivered because it's hot. I know the car will run with out it but it might be a hard to start it with out it working and it will be really rich. I used to unhook mine when I used to run lean and then I finaly tunned my in right so I left it hooked up, the bright side of it is that you can add a varriable resister in line with the power line and then you can richen the mixture while driving like if you were going to race and up the boost it will be a some what for a detonation chance reducer, also you can add on in with the temp sensor and it will make the car thing the air is really cold dumping more fuel as well. It's all a big trick. hey if you want some gaings I'm going to be selling my z31 ecu set up if you are intersted please let me know. I have rewired it to work perfectly and it comes complete with mas, ecu, harness, 3 wire o2 sensor, CAS, Trigger, 300zxt coil, and also all clips were changed out for they were all corroded and all the new ones a perfect also my wires were all sodered together and then by feeding the soder to a twisted together wire from the top while the heat was supplied from the bottom. Also most were shrink wraped or taped off. Like I said this set up works perfectly. Please let me know. tbs
  5. I have two types of tires that I want either a set of Kumho Hp 4716 or Yokohoma Avid H4/V4. I want to know what tire would be best for street/ drag also these are 205/60R15. and finnaly what kind of tread ware am I looking at? Just if you need to know I'm going to be using these on my 280zxt with the 81 turbo snowflake rims. Mike

  7. sleeper do you have an 82-83 intake manifold because I have the 81 intake manifold and mine are smaller than the gasket but the head is close to the gasket size. tbs
  8. I know that it plugs right in and that if you use the 240sx t/b it will work but not on a 280zx t/b because of mounting differencs I have on in my car and it works fine. I am running the 300zx t/b but want the 240 t/b. tbs
  9. I'm wanting to build up my car but I don't want to get an sds or anything like that I am running 84 ECCS. What should I do to get into the high 12's with my car by spring so I need to drop about 3seconds what can I do to drop them I'm not talking about the turbo and intercooler and exhaust stuff I'm asking what to port,new cam or stock, raise compression or not. This is what I'm refering to. tbs

  12. Thanks jeff my car starts to spool at 2200 and I do here that load sckretch so bad turbo but if I floor it in higher gears the turbo makes boost I'm only running about 9-10psi right now. I'm also going to change out the 3.90's for the stock 3.54's I didn't really change them it's just it was a turbo conversion and I just left them in there. Thanks for the help and I also got in touch with Bernardd and he's helping me with understanding the computors. tbs

I installed my boost gauge last night and make about 20psi of vacume, that was nice to see but in making boost first gear didn't make nothing, second and up made for and more and it maxed out a 9-10psi, now could it be a bad turbo, to many restrictions, not berring the peddle or what?? I know the turbo is bad but I'm wanting to know why my car lags so much and also I have 3.90's if that makes a difference. tbs

  15. you guys know that I do have 84 eccs turbo electroics and hopfully if the code is cracked then I will have my ecu reprogramed for more fuel, I understand not to run as much boost to keep out of detonation also I don't want to run race fuel in my car that's to expensive, I want to have a daily driver hey drax240z what did you do to be able to run your boost with the high compression raito?? I'm intersteded in getting my car into the low 13's- high 12's.

  17. really I know the number we need it's a dealer only number for the factory techs but I couldn't get this one dealer tech to give it to me. If I could get it with the help of a nice dealer and yes there out there I bet I could pose as a dealer and get all the print outs about the 300zx eccs or at least I hope. Also like I said I want to talk to jecs after all they built the damn thing. I would hope that they would have the best idea of how it works. Well if you have any ideas let me know I'm here to help all that I can and could you give me some infor on the motorola 8bit mcu's basic 27128. I want to learn more about it so I could possibly help out more.

Ok no I don't have those injectors in yet, I've been trying to get in touch with you for like ever, I spent the better part of the day talking to the largest nissan dealers in the country and the factory through the customer service people they said they only have info on 2000 and up eccs not 80's so it was to late to call back but I'm going to try and get jecs number and talk with them about getting the codes, also I'm going to make a few calls over to nissan japan about the codes need for reprograming. Also I'm not really faimlier but tommorrow I'm going to vist my friend who has reprogramed rom before, no I don't have a burnner/earser what sould I get to do this. I'm going to go to college this year for electrial engineering so I hope that I can help all I can with this I've been wanting to reprogram my ecu for a while now for a realy good cost. tbs
  19. I'm trying to find info on the z31 eprom and bin files and how they all work to gether. I'm diffiently going to need some bin decoders but I don't know where to get one or what one is the best to get can any one help me out here?? also does anyone have any info on the reprograming that jwt does? I would like to see how all the maps work together in order to program custom perfect working ecu's for everyone at a good price. tbs

Ok I know of a guy that I can talk to and he has done the ecu reprogaming before on many things his cyclone, and many computors in his bissness I'm would like to see your information so I can give it to him to look over and maybe he could help you out with the set up, I'm also very intersted in what your doing but don't know what is need to do it but this is why I'm also going to college to learn how to be a electrical enginer/programer.   22. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you run a z31 ecu and have the fuel temp sensro working shouldn't teh z31 ecu compensate for the extra fuel heat?? Sleeper what do you think? tbs

  24. But what about the belt for the alternator? Whould we just have to get a smaller belt and run it to the alternator and crank pully and make it work?? I'm interested in this part and was woundering about a price on this. tbs

Please let me know soon and also could your downpipe's flange be moved forward to miss the cars body to fit a 280zx?? I'm really looking for a down pipe and jeffp sell the whole exhaust but that's too expensive. Thanks tbs
