  1. Ya, I definitely thought this was a diff thread when i posted that O_o
  2. I actually dig the grill. Kind of a throwback to the early 40s. Hate to get hit with all that foam though...
  3. I go both ways on it. I love the look of it (especially with fog lamps) but something about that big lips turns me off. Ill be going Type 1 here shortly.
  4. p.s. Dont hijack our white Z thread MR SILVER Z!
  5. Its high because there's no engine/tranny weighing it down
  6. Car is looking amazing. Ive got a spray gun, but I dont have the balls to try and paint my car.... X.X
  7. Very nice! Are you shaving the side markers too or putting them back in?
  8. No worries man. Just keep me in mind if you dont use em Glad to hear "the man" is gonna throw you a few bucks for repairs!
  9. Ive seen alot of retro pics with the older 3 piece rear spoilers. My Dads 240 had one (may it rest in peace). They're extremely hard to find these days. I happen to have one, but am kind of afraid to put it on.... They're just so big. To be done right (in my opinion) the need to be glassed in, but Ive seen so many horror stories of people trying to remove them later and seeing it was done horribly. I cant decide whether I want to bolt my 3 piece on, glass it, or to just go with a 1 piece from MSA.
  10. DaNG! What a bummer. You gonna part with those hood vents when you get a new hood? Ill buy em off ya.
  11. Gonna be updating my insurance shortly so I needed some more pics. Took these this evening. Still havent got that MSA type 1 nor put on my 3 piece spoiler. Soon.... soon...
  12. Were those pics from MacDill AFB in Tampa? Looks familiar. Im thinking of repainting my 904 white with the pearl white Caddy puts on the escalades... Havent really decided yet.
  13. Sweet looking hood! Any better pics of that?
  14. Just moved down to Key West and Im looking into having my 3 piece spoiler glassed in. Ive seen a few "repair" places on the way down, but Im not really into experimenting with my precious... Anyone out there heard of any decent shops south of the mainland?
  15. Not that I know of... its a beautiful rendering of a Z to be sure. Its pretty close to what mine will end up being. That Type 1 is my next addition (as well as the 3 piece spoiler in my garage). I really like the clean look of the rubberless bumbers. Very sharp. Mine have been rechromed and would look great like that. I may pull off the verticals and rubber when I get a little downtime to play with. Its so F***ing hot right now down here, it takes alot to get me outside for very long X.X
  16. Gotta take new pics now that Ive had the work done and moved down to scenic Key West. And for the poster that asked about the paint code before, I cant speak for that specific car, but my code is 904. Its the original white from 72 and looks to be the same as that pic (at least from my eyeballs)
  17. This is an old pic, but shes still a beautiful white. The rust bubbles you see at the bottom are now gone. Also replaced some bondo (previous owners work) with metal. Shes nearly perfect now, inside and out. Ive got a 3 piece spoiler that will be going on as soon as I can muster up the cash for a MSA Type 1 to go with it.
  18. Not big on 2+2 but that is one beautiful Z. One bumper option Im really big on is a set of 240 bumps with the rubber removed. Full chrome. Also without the lateral bars. Its a really clean look. Ill see if I can find a pic. I want to do this to my bumps one day, but my rubber is so new I cant bring myself to do it. Also, Ive got a spare 240 rear if you're interested. No (undamaged) front unfortunately.
  19. Thanks for the update steve. Cant wait to get a pair!
  20. Driving I hald a pretty steady pressure of 40-50 lb/in2. Idling however my oil pressure drops to zero. Its been a long time since I used a Z for a daily driver, but I dont remember this. Is this a sign of problems to come?
  21. Any luck getting these back on the market? Id love to stick a set in my '72
  22. Thats one heck of a steal for six fitty! Make sure to tackle that rust before it forms a black hole and takes the rest of the car with it!
