  1. I have found over the years after many different steering wheels I have had in my Z's , In my opinion the 14" is the perfect size to be able to see all the gauges and still have a nice sports car feel. I have tried 13" 13.5" and they are too small and obstruct the line of site for the gauges. Go 14" and you wont regret it.....Rob
  2. Well, I"m pissed at Cxracing in California, I paid for on the 3rd of july the 399.00 for the ss exhaust kit for my turbo zx, ( I know Friday was the 4th holiday) anyways, They send me an email that the package was shipped on the 7th Monday thru fed ex.... delivery date Friday the 11th. anxiously waiting Friday for delivery ....no delivery Friday night I check fed ex status for delivery now it says (NA). Now Im pissed! Saturday morning I call fed ex give them the tracking # and the guy tells me that cxracing produced a lable on the 7th and never shipped anything. Now this coming Monday going to launch a call and see what kind of B.S. they try to feed me.... ( I called them cxracing that is, 2 days before paying for it to make sure they had it in stock, they said yes). looks to me like this will be the last item I buy from them. I hate dishonest sellers...Rob
  3. I also have a 3 row champion on my turbo zx wth (2) 12" electric fans....the only thing is champion itself will not have a shroud for the fans though....I had to contact a radiator outfit in Tennessee that sells champion radiators and he even said for his life he does not know why they don't offer a shroud for our applications however, he did offer to make me a custom one for a reasonable price..... he even went as far as saying something I already knew, that champion sells a good product However, "their Customer service" Sucks.....I learned that the hard way....
  4. Hello and welcome to this site....I would suggest you use the search function on this site and search for what you are looking for, If After many tries you still cannot find it then go ahead and ask. This is a great site but they do not like to spoon feed people and I can understand that. I cannot help you on this one, but Im sure there are many many threads on upgraded injectors...good luck...Rob
  5. I guess then we can use "donuts' to insure no leaks...I finally got a tracking# and it say Friday....So we'll see...I'll still report on my findings to see if it's the same as your'es..
  6. Well, got my custom 3" down pipe done and installed, took off my 2.5 " exhaust off the car and just waiting for my 3" stainless complete exhaust system to arrive from cali....should be here by Friday I hope.....will post pics, and give my opinion on this premade 3'' complete system......Rob
  7. Ok, will do that, thanks for all the input you guys have supplied....Rob
  8. Ok, then I probably meant caster, anyways, this is exactly why I want to install the plates, because like that the plates I got have adjustment and I can go the opposite way and get rid of negative camber...Like I said this is my 4th Z or zx and never had a camber problem with the others...I really appreciate you guys trying to help..Rob
  9. It's an 83 280zx turbo..., I cannot drive it any easier than I do.. I just cruise and enjoy the ride. I believe the guys at Firestone said that their was no toe or camber adjustment. they did align it though the car goes perfectly straight down the road and does not pull to any side. Obviously , if the tires in the front are wearing on the inside, I have too much " negative'' camber...I was hoping that these camber plates would give me the adjustment need to be perfect.... and for the record as stated above , All my front end components have been changed...they are all new.
  10. I don't have any problems with the rears at all. they are wearing nice and even. My only problem is with the fronts, Yes they are wearing excessively fast on "both inner fronts'....as I know , this is negative camber....I don't want that....I have had it aligned and it's supposedly the best it can be as they say. just so you know, I have new powersteering rac, new ball joints new inner and outer tie rods, new eibach springs, and new shocks.....I have owned 4 z"s in my life have had all of them lowered and never till now did I have a tire wear issue..... they told me what I already know which is these cars don't have camber adjustment...I know....So, this is why Im trying to go with the camper plates....Rob
  11. I also don't know what a "kouki" or zenki is for that matter also......these new words nowadays....what next??
  12. My objective here is not really to lower it anymore than what it is with the eibach springs I installed, my target it to be able to get my camber to the point where my tires wont get worn on the inside like they are wearing right now....I really really would like to avoid going coil overs.Im not interested in them at all..my car is just a cruiser....any further advice is welcomed...Rob
  13. Tony, lol...yeah, that"s basically what I meant Cheap!!! lol.....going to order it on Monday....will let you know what it looks like quality wise when I get it....Rob
  14. I presently have the eibach springs that lower the car about 1-2 inches, can I use these springs with the camber plates? the cons would be not a lot of adjustment?....I really don't want to do coil overs if I don't have to...Rob
  15. Yes , I agree with you all and I was also going to buy from the ebay ad for the 399.00.. just wanted to hear from you guys here. I have had exhausts done before and I do agree 400.00 for all mandrel ready to install sounds very reasonable...thanks, Rob
  16. I have a question for JMortensen, Being that you have so much knowledge on our Z's, my question to you is on this same kit , do I just cut off the 3 studs on the rubber top spring isolator and then put my camber plates or do I eliminate the top hat .. because If I leave the top rubber hat and add the camber plate wont my front end sit about an inch higher? what do you suggest? thanks ,Rob P.S remember this kit I have comes with the 3 bolts on it already...
  17. Slowpoke, yes it's only for 2...I bought these about 2 months ago, have not installed them yet... will write up on them once I do....they do look very well made...Rob
  18. Has anyone here bought and installed the 3" cxracing ss complete exhaust system for their 280zxt ? I have tried looking for reviews on this exhaust and have found none. I am about to fork over the 400.00 for this system being I'm almost done with my new 3" ss downpipe to complement and complete the new 3" exhaust. I also have not found anyone else Making a nice Complete ready to install 3" system for my application either. And it "has to be all Mandrel" no short cuts here...and at least my neck of the woods I have not found any muffler shops that do mandrel systems period.... thanks, Rob
  19. Yeah, exactly that's why I had a custom shroud made, because without it you have to stagger the 12'' fans.....lol
  20. Will do, Im on the last nut trying to remove it from the turbo, (of coarse the other 3 came out fairly easy but not this little bugger) 'Ive heated it, penetrating spray overnight still cant bust it loose. and its not rusted either. Got my 3" down pipe mocked up with the reducer going from 2.5 to the 3" down pipe ready for welding just need to taper the 2.25 hole on the flange I had custome made to the 2.5 I need. then I should be good. Im ordering that 3" mandrel bent complete exhaust from xracing on ebay that goes from down pipe all the way back to muffler all stainless steel polished. but, Im gonna cut out the "Fart can muffler ) it comes with and installing a Megan 3" in with dual 3.5 out pipes. gonna look sick.
  21. Thanks Tony, that's exactly what I have been brainstorming that I want to go with...I will post pics once I get it done..thanks again, Rob
  22. I was mocking up my 3" down pipe to the flange I had made, and I have to agree with you 2.5" is probably the max you can go . I am just curious why I have read some people here saying "yeah I got A 3" down pipe with flange" But I really don't see how in the world you can get such A bore without interfering with the bolts ....So, I guess Im going to just cut my original down pipe flange off and tapper it as much as possible to maximum volume out of it.... I was really hoping to have been able to get a 3" bore because I'm going all mandrel 3" exhaust , but I guess this will have to do....Any other with a better idea would like to hear from you...thanks , Rob
  23. Alright guys, I have been here for days if not weeks looking at all the possible Flange tags I can find. I am exhausted at this time, I have looked and looked and don't seem to find my immediate answer to my question. I found a kinda blueprint someone posted here with an exact drawing with measurements and everything of the factory flange. I had one custom made in Alabama and when it arrived it was not what I was expecting, the bolt size are correct but the exhaust opening is bearly over 2" round. Now , My question is, ( after me mocking a 3" pipe to the flange I received) How in the world do I get a flange made with A true 3'' exhaust hole without impeading into the stud holes? I have read here some people saying that they had a flange made to match a 3'' down pipe? I really don't see how....I would really appreciate someone steering me in the right direction.....thanks, Rob
  24. How big have you guys been able to bore the stock flange cut off the original pipe? is 3" of a hole doable?
