I have the same problem, but I got my kit from MSA.

I didn't remove any fuel line because all those hoses are on the right side of the car, but I disconected the fuel gauge lines from the inside of the car (the ones connected to the fuel tank) because they're pretty short and then I just dropped the left side of the tank to remove the bolts and shock.

There are 3 bolts under the car and you don't need to remove the whole tank to do the job right, but you need to remove the 2 gas tank brackets to droop it just a little. Also yesterday I got pulled over by the cops and they didn't tell me anything about my shaved rear.

I recently got mine from a 81zx for around $70-$80 at pick your part in chula vista, there's a monthly 50% off in every part.

My car is a '78 280z with the tokico strut/spring 1"drop kit all around and the complete polyurethane chassis/suspension kit, the car feels really great but I just want to upgrade the sway bars, and I still want to use the stock 14x6 wheels, and that's why I'm looking for some advice, because I've read here on the forum that some people have had some issues using stock/small rims and some understeering issues as well. I'll apreciate any help, thanks. Ps. I use the car as a DD.

I have a '78 280z with a weird problem, sometimes the car runs normally but suddently dies and when I try to re-start the engine again the spark dissapears, then the spark is there again and the engine is able to start, and then it happens again and again, no spark and I can't find where the problem is taking place, I already have changed the coil, wires, spark plugs, rotor and cap and nothing seems to work, but also I have notice something, when I check the negative and positive wires that connect the coil, both positive and negative have a 12v electrical current. I don't know if this may be normal, I will appreciate any help, thanks.

I used rage extreme, a little expensive but I'm happy with the results, very easy to sand, even with wet sandpaper.

My stock '78 280z was making around 17-19 mpg (highway/city combined)

Sorry for using your thread but i have a question about jokes too, I have a '78 280z and I replaced the stock r200 for a r200 from the '84 300zx and the drive shaft bolt pattern is not the same as the original one, can i just swap the joke from the '78 280z into the r200 from the '84 300zx?
