Wrong headers. Patriot H8427 hugger headers can be used in a Z-car conversion. The Summit part number is PTE- H8427,

The trans mounts are the same. The floor pan changed.

Its alright, I keep going back and forth on what to do as well. At this point I think I should have put a 351 cleveland in it.

What kind of paint was it painted black with?

Replaced hazard switch, turn signals and hazards work, nothing else though.

You ought to look for a set of explorer 302 heads.

Forgot to mention, there is power to the fuse box.

I have a 1978 280z. Stock wiring. I have no headlights/turn signals or wipers. Engine turned over, but after trying it a few times, the ignition relay doesnt even make noise anymore and the lights in the insturment cluster no longer come on. The only thing that works is the voltage gauge. The red light in the volt meter does not come on with they key on, no brake light warning comes on. The rear running lights worked at first but they dont come on anymore either. I checked the fusible links and i appear to be getting battery voltage at all points on the links. any ideas?

what color green is that

I currently have a 78 280z that the engine harness has been cut. The harness is illustrated in the following picture. http://www.4moores.com/280z/files/240Z_Engine_Compartment_Harness.jpg Will an earlier engine compartment harness section say from a 71-76 plug up to my 78? I no longer have fuel injection anyway so it would be nice to get rid of unneeded wires. If so anybody have one? Thanks!

Cool. I am working on my 302z too. Did the exhuast sound good in person? I like the way it sounded in the videos. I paid the same for mine and have to redo everything too.

So where does one aquire one of the cradles?

While we are on the subject,I was looking at the beta motorsports site, I see struts for shortened strut tubes available. How much do i need to take out of the tube to use these? I have ground control 250f and 300r coilovers. Any suggestions? Mostly track, some street car.

I currently have a 76 280z. I am buying a 78 this week. I am aware that the rear floor is dfferent. Will the 76 gas tank work in the 78 without major mods? Will the hatch from the 76 work on the 78?, and lastly, will the struts from the 76 work on the 78. My 76 already has been converted to coilovers. Thanks!

Why can't you use the stock rb25 ecu? I have put a couple rb25s in 240sx's and never had an issue.
