  1. I rebuild the back carb and put it back on the intake and The back 3 cylinders STILL DON'T FIRE!!!! I even swapped the floats too. What is going on here?
  2. As for the momentary switch, I don't see the need for anything other than a momentary switch. Current Draw? Like see how many amps are flowing/being used/what ever they are doing, and see if that exceeds the max amps of the switch?? yup, planning on a fuse. Where should I get the correct automotive wires?
  3. so basically Idea #1 right? Just checking: battery>switch> fuel pump + wire Sound good?
  4. well, I'm almost positive that the engine will still run with out the electric pump. So I don't think that will exactly have the intended safety effect. I'm just looking to use the electric pump to prime the fuel system so I don't have to sit there and crank it for a good 30sec.
  5. Woops, I thought I made this thread days ago. I have a ztherapy rebuild kit in the mail. should I readdress after the rebuild?
  6. Its not like HybridZ to have a post up for a day and not have any responses. Any Help would be greatly appreciated
  7. Hey, I'm sick of cranking my engine(L26 SU's) for 30+ seconds before it starts (cold). I was thinking of putting a switch to control the electric fuel pump in so I can hit the switch and fill up the fuel bowls. First, Anybody see any issues with this plan? Second, This would be my first automotive wiring experience. How would I go about wiring this? I have 2 ideas about wiring it. (remember complete noob) 1. Connect a wire hot when ign switch is "on" to switch then splice it into fuel pump + wire. 2. Wire a relay, again using a wire hot to "On" and then to fuel pump. Would either of these circuits work? if not could you first explain why or why its not the best option. And then a circuit that would work. Thanks, Jeff
  8. keep it, or sell it to someone else.
  9. Ya, I don't remember seeing any brackets that looked appropriate for the panel on my early 260z. Looks like I gotta track down some brackets too, Or at least some good pics of where they mount so I can fab some of my own.
  10. Are there different panels for the 260z and 280z?
  11. Hey, I would like to buy a black lower dash panel for the passenger side(S30). I doesn't need to be perfect, Just something to cover the blower and wires. Thanks, Jeff
  12. Great, Thanks. Time to do some shopping.
  13. It was actually my parents cobalt LS (base) that got me in trouble. haha
  14. gotcha. Know what exactly it is called? I have no idea what to call it.
  15. Thanks for the info, exactly what I'm looking for. Mind sharing what I can expect cost wise for the panel?
  16. I got all excited for 2 seconds thinking about bumping people at stop lights and stuff. haha. Seriously those are pretty cool, I'm sure they would allow tons of room for personal modifications. (or is that what the whole car is? haha)
  17. Another Pic: Any idea about early 260Zs? if not what about a retrofit? Same dash right? Anybody see any issues? Also What is the technical name of the panel if I were to try and get one?
  18. No idea. I haven't seen too many good pics of it. I'll keep searching for a good picture though.
  19. Hello, I have seen a few S30's that have plastic covers under the dash/glovebox on the passenger side that covers the blower and wires. It seems like they are a rare item due to the fact that I have only seen them on a few cars. Any idea what is the deal with this panel? Were they on all S30's or specific ones? In the pic you can see a bit of the panel towards the right:
  20. Its fine, I ended up ordering a rebuild kit from zt, I figure its worth saving headaches in the future. Thanks again for all your help
  21. That is awesome. I love it. I think the a whole circle would ruin it though.
  22. Hey, I am looking for the following parts in good condition. All for a 3 screw Su. 1 Needle, 1 Nozzle and 1 piston spring. This is my last resort before I get a rebuild kit from ZT. But I really don't wanna spend the money on for a kit with parts I don't need. Thanks, Jeff
