n/a and turbo are the same transmissions

If it's anything like the GPS units in the Cessna's I fly..
there is a big time delay. If you go 40 mph and slam the brakes to a dead stop it would still say your going 40mph for a few more seconds lol
-
nice man! very good news!!
-
uhh yes..
you will need larger injectors. I would go with a minimum of 440cc.
-
and interior pieces will vary between 240z/260z/280z! aggh!
-
I agree... interior pieces would be excellent.
I just think once the front splitter was produced and a rear diffuser.. people would see the price and then put it on their wish list and NEVER buy them.
The few people who actually have money would buy them, but it would not be worthwhile for the producer.

I too am interested in how to make sure your not over extending?!
-
Dang!
I wish I could of come!!
The Z should be back on the road within the next 2 weeks or so!
Maybe I'll try to make it out to the next track event!
-
wow! that looks great!

To be honest I think if he manufactured the carbon fiber splitter's.. the price would scare everyone away.
Carbon fiber is gradually increasing in price.. and a large MULTI-LAYER panel would be really pricey. (Starting from in front of the bumper, back to the front cross member) **eBay sells 65'' L X 18'' W X .0125" carbon splitters for $150 plus $75 for shipping**
Here is a general idea.. a local company has carbon fiber available for $50 per yard. that's 50" inches by 36" inches. Now one layer would be way too weak.. in fact it will flex.. ALOT. One good layer would be around $100~ish. Now imagine the epoxy, manufacturing, cutting, trimming, sanding, polishing would add more money. Now run several layers of it.. im sure you can add it up.
You could probably make several aluminum units for the same price.
if you like the look, maybe just cover the aluminum with carbon?

Am I the only one confused?!
a $7,000 + TIG welder is cheap?
How cheap is cheap?!
-
Why dont you add a quart of AUTOMATIC transmission fluid about a day or two before you change the oil.. or let it run for a while then drain the oil?!
ATF cleans the engine.. acts as a detergent.
-
check spark plug wires too.. sometimes they get in the wrong place at the wrong time

I am about to purchase a set of Bad Dog frame rails.. however; I feel uncomfortable welding the new rails over the existing rails!
It seems if the old rails are rusty, they will continue to rust all the way through up to the floor and beyond.
Is there a process to strip the rust off the old rotten rails before you overlay the new ones?
Thanks guys
Ryan

Anyone seen the commercial where 2 guys are walking through a parking lot.. while one is describing how much his friend will really like the car and how mint it is...
as they walk up to the car they see a orange Z car with the wheels, doors and hood taken off..
the guy selling the car mentions at least they left the stereo.. lol
Anyway I tried to search for the commercial but no luck. But its a cool observation.

Just to clarify.. this is my setup on my laptop
Windows Vista Home Premium
AMD Turion 64 X2 processor
1790 MB RAM
32-bit operating system
and of course I am running Megatune 2.25 =)
-
wow.. just about 300hp at 12psi? thats impressive!!
I have the same motor setup! just a bigger cam and 15psi!
-
whoa.
how did you make the plenum out of carbon fiber?!
It looks like it was vacuum bagged... did you make a mold out of foam or wood and pop off the carbon after it cured?!
I'm interested in the process you used for this plenum. There are so many diff processes... Ive always wondered which works the best.
did you end up using 2x2?
-
For my L28 turbo.. I ended up buying 2 180 degree U-bends...
You can cut 90 degree elbows or 45's or straights and everything all right in front of you. I would buy those and some longer straights with silicone couplers and you should be good!
Take a peak at some pictures of members running a RB25 and you can get a really good idea on what you need
-
most people have an intercooler with 3" inlets and outlets.. and run 2.5" intercooler piping
you can run 3" piping.. it won't hurt you. up to you
-
I thought you need to have the surface o-ringed for a copper gasket?!
or am I confusing that for a copper *head gasket* ?!
-
whoa thats interesting..
I bought a tilton master cylinder... i wonder if mine is shorter! might explain my clutch problems!
I just added a longer slave cylinder push-rod

I can't really answer your question man, but I would try calling SportMax Racing (ensure wheel) and see if they can fax you a spec sheet or something!
