  1. dont GT cars place vents/louvers on the top of the fenders to release all that high pressure buildup on the top of the wheel well??

I know wheel wells typically are an area of general low pressure due to air movement produced by the wheels/tires.. but as the air reaches the top of the wheel well/fender there is a high pressure build up?

I would think this "duct" would increase the high pressure..

  2. run the PVC open.. do not attach a filter or hose.. see ow the car runs..

as for the valve cover breather.. do the same thing temporarily..

use a small screen to prevent objects from goin in...

the valve cover breather and PVC breathe OUT .. so nothing will get sucked in.. but just in case

then report back to us ;)

BTW - does the car smoke immediatly on start up? or does it take a bit? if it smokes on startup and all the time its a bad valve seal

  3. Check your PVC...

might be clogged.. too much POSITIVE pressure in the block.. so much the oil is not draining down the oil line into the oil pan.. so its backed up.. has no where to go but OUT....

this will get oil in the compressor and intake piping..

as well as oil in the exhuast which burns and creates smoke

notice it only smokes when WARMED UP!? well when its cold.. the oil is dripping into the exhuast but doesnt burn because its cold. then the exhuast heats up then you have smoke

how do I know? ive had this issue.. i eventually just ran an OPEN setup with a mesh screen..

  4. Hey guys..

I am currently in the market for a nice electric impact wrench...

I currently own a Husky 1/2" pnuematic impact wrench that I believe drives 300 ft/lb.. which is plenty for breaking off most bolts on my car.

Now.. hooking up the compressor is a major PIA.. so i am looking for a nice electric unit... cordless would be awsome..

Now harbour freight is selling some cheap 1/2" Electric Impact Wrenchs for $79 and delivers 280 ft/lb.

I purchased a CORDLESS 18v 1/2" impact wrench today that delivers 150ft/lb for $39.99!!! which seems OOKKK I will try it out for a few days.. but some of the big companies like Home Depot sell 250ft/lb cordless units for $299! ouch!

So I was curious.. what is a good recommended electric unit or TORQUE amount for a general automotive application. Cordless would be great for junkyards ;)

  5. US turbo manifolds are easy to come by.. found on L28 turbo blocks from 1981-1983

EURO spec turbo manifolds are rare and have slip joints .. very cool stuff

L24's and L26's have naturally aspirated exhuast manifolds.. and ofcourse NON turbo L28's

  6. Thank you Jeff, Tony and Mike!

honestly.. after comparing everything.. I LOVE Mike's cam setup... its a bit more agressive than the Elgin cam specs Jeff posted and more agressive than Schnieders

Do you guys think it would match up my turbo?
