the HX turbo has a different a/r and spools much slower...
with my HY35W the way my tuning is right now, I get boost at about 3,400 RPM in 4th gear.. and boost by 3,800 in 2nd gear..
soo it's already a laggy turbo.. and the HX would be even worse
spend the time to find a HY turbo

yeh pushing the cherry picker up the driveway was hell.. wouldnt even go up the curb.. so i pushed it up the street and on the handicap sidewalk ramp.. and stuff..
what sucks is I did EVERYTHING myself.. no help from anyone..

Welp.. the N47/N42 combo powered by megasquirt and a watercooled T3 pooped out on me.. bad valve seals..
soo rather than changing the seals.. I went ahead and got a deal on a F54/P90a combo and swapped her in the car..
while it was out.. I decided.. ehh why not go Holset HY35W ...

I am running a ACT full faced clutch right now that is supposed to hold up to 500ft/lb ..
check out my cardomain site for pics of it
it has the same stiffness as the stock clutch believe it or not

being up here at altitude will hurt ya .. like me .. LoL..
but 300hp can be obtained with 440cc's and 16psi (ish) with proper tuning.
Slownrusty .. when you begin the project.. I'll help ya build it up.. im swappn in my new motor and finally a Holset next week.. and give ya an idea maybe i'll hit 300rwhp.. but I need tuning.. guess thats why I have the wideband huh?
Oh yeh.. you DONT need ARP studs, you DONT need an external wastegate, you DONT need a port and polish and you DONT need an aftermarket cam!!
Look at Thumper or 240hoke.. no head work.. stock cam.. 11 sec cars (well Hoke's if he had drag radials) and they are estimating 320rwhp + !!

if you want a true performance motor.. be prepared to spend the money .. power doesnt come cheap
91 octane is about $0.40 more than 85 octane..

hmm I have a turbo cam, n/a N42 cam.. and a Stage I MSA cam.. which should I use on my turbo motor.. arrrggg i dont know!
