  1. I never really asked you for the full dimensions on your brackets because you were taking a different route then what I wanted to do, Since I have to make a pair for me and a few for the local guys around here plus I have a pretty good machinist who is willing to help me out for a fair deal, I decided I want to do my own. The reason I kept asking the same questions is because I didn't feel like they were being addressed and it was still a concern for me, If your changing your brackets to be more of a 45 degree angle to the strut tube and using the three bolt design, I would be interested, otherwise I will stick to making my own, I want to stick with whats know and proven to work fine and trusting a somewhat new design for a brake system is a little risky in my book. If your going more of the Modern motorsport design I would love to talk dimensions sometime. Nathan
  2. A Spoiler for us 2+2 guys, BRE style of course or options would be nice .
  3. Thats a lot of plastic, plus it would have to be thick to handle the weight don't ya think? Maybe a formed shape to attach to a wood panel for strength?
  4. What does having a part not shipped to you on time have anything to do with corporations taking over everything?
  5. I re-read your post and it seems like it may be a fuel injection problem, Try unplugging your Cold start injector it should be near the throttle body and see if that helps also do some research about the fuel injection it will help you out.
  6. Are you sure you put the wires back on in the right order? It sounds a lot like a problem my DD had when one of the wires came loose. Make sure you have all of the wires getting good connection on the distributor cap, sometimes the "connector" gets slid down inside the wire if that makes sense.
  7. Good point, I forgot about the brakes.
  8. Maybe something like this? http://www.syntheticoilnlubes.com/metal_protectants.html
  9. I need to know all the measurements necessary to have my own set of 240sx brake brackets machined. A diagram that I could print off would be great. I'm having some troubles doing the measurements myself and was wondering if there were any diagrams that would include enough measurements for my machinist to make them. I know there is an image floating around on how to machine the maxima brackets but I need a diagram and measurements for a bracket like the Modernmotorsports 240sx bracket. If you help me out and you need a pair I would be willing to have a few extra sets to be made. Also if someone would be willing to help me figure it out (I don't want to make someone else have to do all the work) I would love to learn how to figure it out myself so I have that skill down the road. Thanks, Nathan
  10. I'm not sure if the ZX has them but there is a set of resistors that control the injectors and if they go bad they won't work, you can research about that, I can't remember the specific name of them at the moment. Also I'm not sure if the ZX has it but if it does check the fuel Injection relay it controls the fuel pump and injectors.
  11. Wow, 5,000 for both is a pretty good deal I think, Plus that 510 Looks awesome. Good luck getting it, I have seen that Z on CL before a few months back, I believe it has custom bumper ends and the bumper moved closer to the body for a cleaner look.
  12. Uhh I will say Black lip with red, It looks good with the theme.
  13. I bet there is some rust hiding in them especially at the price.
  14. Before you start cleaning out the redline tank sealer first make sure you have your fuel line from the pump on the correct barb and that you have the fuel return on the correct barb, If they are already correct try sticking a long strong wire like a oil dipstick type of thing through the fuel lines on the tank before you wash everything out. If there is too much coating you may just be able to clear out the lines with the wire.
  15. Also are you sure you have lines in the correct spot on the fuel tank? also did you replace the lines on the Evaporator tank, and if you did, did you put them in the correct spots?
  16. Well I guess I will post some of my ideas. DOHC 4g63T 4WD Swap into a 1990 Dodge Colt Vista (This is my daily driver and the current 90hp isn't doing it for me.) 2JZ twin turbo 1973 Ford Ranchero Compressed Air powered Go kart (ongoing project.)
  17. If a rotor is bad or the cap is bad it doesn't always mean you won't get spark to certain spark plugs, sometimes the spark isn't as strong as it should be. Check your Distributor cap and rotor, most likely they are old and have some build up a old trick is just to take some light sandpaper to clean up the contacts on the rotor and distributor and if that doesn't fix it just replace the rotor and cap, Can't hurt.
  18. Are you sure they are all going to the correct spark plug? Do you have a new rotor or Cap on your distributor?
  19. Hey PR280z if you ever need any Automatic parts, I have a spare transmission, its in not that good of shape but I will be taking one out of my car eventually and I have a few spare parts also. If you ever need anything just let me know. Good luck with the project its going to be fun.
  20. The EFI harness is on the drivers side of the engine and is only connected to the ECU and some relays under the drivers side of the dash. If your trying to remove the harness on the Passenger side of the engine bay your removing the wrong harness.
  21. Have you ever seen the Ford festiva with the Rear mounted v8 and FWD? It's pretty crazy. http://jalopnik.com/355176/v8-powered-ford-festiva-torque-steers-itself-into-our-hearts http://jalopnik.com/355592/v8-ford-festiva-now-with-video
  22. Don't you have to use a carb on a Propane conversion? I know EFI can be done but I have heard its rather expensive.
  23. Pikes Peak is literally my back yard, I can see it from my porch haha. I can't wait to see the race in person sometime maybe next year.
