I have owned 2 Z's A 1975 and a 1976 280z 2+2, Otherwise I'm the only one in my family that has ever even bought a datsun. I Saw the 75 for sale when I was 14 and my parents said I could buy a project car of my choice and I decided I liked that one so I bought it, I didn't know anything then, But now I'm on my second one at 17 years old and I know a lot more then I did haha.

I guessed you knew I thought it would be good for some sellers to see if they weren't sure.

Wangan Midnight was some Anime show in japan that had a S30 in it that was called the Devil Z. Also I haven't ever heard of any door handles that said Limited Edition and your car doesn't look like it was a Black pearl Or ZZAP S30. Good luck with your project seems like a decent starter.

Just for future reference for buyers or sellers in case they didn't know Both left and right outside handles can be put on the opposite side they are taken off or they are interchangeable. Good luck getting one Cable.

Wouldn't that mean their would be dents in the hood and possibly sheared vacuum lines etc. I thought it was possible that they broke off also, but I think there would have been more evidence left behind if they did. Is it possible that the fan flexed? sort of like a RC cars tires when they accelerate, like flaring out and then it made contact with the radiator then broke? EDIT: also you might want to check if your water pump has some play in the shaft, You'll have to take off the belt to check it.

One thing though, If you cut out the spare completely are you going to put in a fuel cell? because I don't think the stock tank will mount without the spare as the tank rests against the bottoms of the spare, You could probably just make some rectangles out of the flat piece so the tank has something to rest against. Otherwise I don't think you could mount the tank.

S30's have vinyl with foam backing placed over the metal frame. I think the 280zx's had plastic but at least the earlier s30's don't have plastic a later 78 might have plastic I'm not sure.

When I saw your title I thought you were talking about a RV , Regardless that is a lot of motors blown.

I bet you could make the bottom panel in that picture fit and still look pretty good, Out of the ones you posted in that picture I would choose the bottom one, or you could do like another member and use tail lights from a 2005 mustang, those look good and fit pretty well with the style. Did you put the fuel filter on the right way? Are you sure your getting the right fuel pressure with the new fuel regulator/ fuel filter? did you ever check the compression to see if you possibly had a blown head gasket or a leak somewhere? Just throwing parts at the car isn't going to fix it, You need to do some diagnosis and report back here with your findings so we can help you out.

Most fuel injected cars won't run without a good battery and a good charge, They are pretty specific about the voltage going to the ECU for it to run correctly. Replace the battery and that should fix your problem. Does your car stumble and you have to hold the gas to keep it running, what are some of the cars symptoms?

They aren't Diamond racing rims, They are another brand I can't think of the name right now but they are lighter then Diamond racing rims. the rims from diamond racing are pretty heavy compared to some rims but they are that way because they are built to be stronger etc etc.

I would suggest doing some more research you said that the exhaust is burning white which could mean you have a blown headgasket. Do some searching this has all been covered before.

You can tell by the rear lights, and the front turn signals, On a 280z they are mounted in the grill area on a 240z they are mounted on the lower valence or airdam. One thing to think about I don't know where you live or what the laws are about titling cars. If you don't have a title it may be hard or you won't be able to title your car because of the damage, at least that what it is like here. Hopefully that damage didn't mess up the rear suspension which could cause problems if you drive it. I would look over it thoughly with someone experienced. Good luck.

The front damage looks fine, but the rear seems like it could be a problem, Make sure the frame looks straight in the rear or have a pro look at it and see what he thinks. I personally would stray away from that car, but since your in a autobody class you could have some help. It really depends on how much your willing to do to fix the rear end and to the extent that you have to fix it. You might be able to find a better shell down the road and use the engine from that 280z you pictured above if you do end up deciding to take this one.

Thanks for that information, you made some good points. I hadn't thought about it that way for someone who wanted to go that in-depth with programming it there could be advantages.

My thought is Why? What benefits would it have and are you sure the mounting holes are spaced correctly?

Maybe its time to name your car Christine and paint it red and white. I'm betting you have a wiring issue with a relay in the car somewhere or a relay is going bad. Did you remove the voltage regulator from the car when you did the alternator swap?

Wat. (4 cylinder supercharged honda engine.) Also I think if you going to do a swap into a 240sx do something that will piss off all the ricers like a 350 V8 swap or you could always put a L28ET in it if you like the L-series that much haha. P.S I'm also in no way a 4 banger lover, just thought I would give the little guys a chance.

I will post before someone says stretch the tires and drift it mad tyte yo. haha anyways my opinion is to have a decent slower car around so when you drive the datsun it seems like more of a change. If you drive two fast cars you may lose interest in the datsun and I know I couldn't afford trying to sell a 2+2 in this market. Also do what you want with it make it comfortable for what you want out of it. If you want it to be a spirited DD go for it. I can understand why you might want something a little more fun if I had a 240sx I would probably go with suspension upgrades and maybe a turbo or some more NA power, nothing extreme.

That isn't the problem he doesn't even have the brake pads on in the picture, the problem is the mounting surface is to close to the rotor. My only guess is that you may have the brackets on the wrong sides.

Mine measures from the the middle of furthest point on the seat when its down to the rear interior light panel 53 1/2 inches and 48 inches wide at the widest point and 2 feet from the bases of the rear shock towers. I would love to see some measurements from yours or someone elses Zx I'm just curious and I Hope I'm not thread jacking to much, If you want to send me a pm with measurements that would be better.
