  1. I just use the 17 inch 9.5 rotas offset as the benchmark for backspacing as it was supposed to be the max amount for stock suspension. I'd rather play it safe when giving people information, but if you got 4.8 backspace thats good news for him.
  2. they should fit if you have coilovers. I run 15x8 -32 with 225s and only had rubbing on one corner that was taken care of with a fender roller. A 15x9 0 is .7 inches more in and 5 inches of backspace and the maximum backspace with stock springs is 4.5 so I think you'll be dandy. Use this tool t0 play with stuff helps answer a lot of Qs pretty easy http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
  3. Did you upgrade to the 15/16 master cylinder? If so you might just need to adjust the pushrod. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/91174-brakes-get-progressively-worse
  4. I'm in the same boat with tire choice for the track. 17s just look too wonky to me, but 16s you max out around 245. With my current stock sr20 I was using ad08 street tires and it was pretty managable no crazy wheel spin. If you wanna keep in the 15s xxr 02s are coming in 15x9 in couple months. I'm gonna run my 225 nittos on my 15x8s next saturday at the local time attack event I think that will be more than plenty for the power I make. How does the power hit on the 2871r? I'm still in limbo between it and the disco.
  5. 225= 8.9 inches might as well get a 9 inch wheel, xxr has 002s in 15x9 0 offset now. That's what I'm planning on using at this season at ASR with nt01s. I mean if you planning or just driving around in a non jackass matter its not gonna hurt, but running a stretched tire in spirited mode a little tire deflection could make it come off the bead and lead to some fun.
  6. I think 4.5 is the max back space you can do. that merits 15x10 -25 as in the crazyoctopus's thread. He can only run 225/50-45/15 otherwise it would looks like it would rub.
  7. After reading the options I've listed, let me know what you wish to do?

  8. compare your coilovers to the picture you posted in your first post. Why did you choose this design?
  9. i like to use this as a reference to see how a tire will look on a rim. 225 on a 8 is "flush" 235 and 245 would prolly be the max on an 8 imo. I'm not sure how squirmy they would be though. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
  10. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/87193-just-finished-s13-coilovers-into-s30/page__st__20__p__829019__hl__%2Bintegra+%2Bcoilovers__fromsearch__1#entry829019 you would need 2 get 2 addiiotnal perches but it looks like its been done.
  11. According to miata driver its very minimal and lot of them use that setup on a track.
  12. Whatever you wanna do man its your car. If you wanna stretch tires and slam the crap out of it to make it look sick standing still its all you. I prefer to drive my car and not have to worry about memorizing every bump and dip to and from a destination =P. Everyone has different style and plans for their car its whatever makes you feel good at the end of the day, so don't worry too much about internet opinons.
  13. http://www.tyrestretch.com/ 205 on a 9 inch isnt the most retarded fitment on the website at least. If its not your daily and you just want to cruise town at normal speeds to get that sick stance for the parking lots go for it.
  14. Hes got coilovers, which allow more backspacing to run a more positive offset wheel. That's my guess as to how he runs a 9inch wheel with no flares needed.
  15. Something might be tweaked in the lca maybe, that or QC on the wheels might have the offsets varying. Have you tried to switch wheels to see if it has any effect. I know with my set of konigs the offset varied.
  16. It seems to me the owner is very protective of any paint possibly chipping/ pulling the the fender. While the good ole bball bat will get the job done its a lot harder to be consistent compared to using the eastwood tool.
  17. Just go to a shop and get it rolled properly then. Can't cost more than a hundread bucks for all 4 corners, and less if you just need the rears. Should take like 10-20 mins top.

  19. Do you really think you're going to out drive a smaller width tire? It would save a lot of headaches for you just to run a 215 series or 205. I'm barely stepping up to 225s with my sr20 setup,I was running 205 street tires previously.
  20. I have the 4x4s on non vented rotors with a sr20 setup. With carbotech pads I can run 2-3 hot laps on a 1.4 mile course before any noticeable fade starts to show. They should hold up just fine in some auto-x
