  1. Saw this on J.Soileau's blog and thought it would make a good thread. What would you change if you owned my car?   2. Why the CA18DET? Why not an RB? And as for a twin turbo LSx.... Really? What are you planning on doing with that much power? Drag only?
  3. I mentioned about a vent on the block to the guy I talked to and he acted like it would be useless to vent the block.
  4. Talking to a local performance guy... he says that on the valve cover vent, it is accually more affective to put a small filter on it than run vacuum. Whats you guys' opinion on this? The guy I talked to said the vacuum type system is for emissions? Also, Is there a vent on the block? There is one single vacuum line on the bottum of the n42 intake. Does this go to the valve cover? This vacuum line is the ONLY one on the bottom of the intake and it is rather large. Am I correct?
  5. Oh and isnt the mn47 head too tall to fit under the hood? Youll probably need to mod the hood...
  6. I have early 260z bumpers but they have some surface rust on them. They would need to be sanded and rechromed.

  10. Yes... its an ebay one. Lol. I ended up putting a $300+ BOV on my current car. Yes I know very expensive but it sounds good . Heres the BOV, It looks functional and def looks better than the 1g DSM BOV some of you use... but I have no clue how it sounds... *EDIT* Oh yeh forgot to say it also comes with a recirculation vacuum hose.
  11. I also have some generic Blow off valve and a 3" pipe section with the bov mount($30 value) will trade that as well if the throttle body is in good shape.
  12. Alright, I am looking for a 240sx throttle body. I have 3 81' 280zx turbos and a 75' 280z. Let me know what you need if you have a 240sx throttle body your wanting to get rid of...

  14. Go to the Vendors Forum. They sell an Electric power steering assembly through zccjdm.com made for the s30. Works same only no horsepower reduction... You sure its lsd? Posi and lsd are viritually the same... posi is american, lsd is japanese....
  15. Well First off I'm 17 now gonna be 18 in a few months... My story is very different from everyones... I never really had many hobbies under 8 years old other than "playing with toys" or "hanging out with friends" Well my interest in cars really got set off by the computer game Need For Speed 2. Exotic cars that go 200+ mph really amazed me. After playing the game and soon beating it I got into exotic cars alot like ferrari's, porsche's, lamborghini's, mclaren f1, lotus', etc.. Did lots of research always did school project on exotic cars... blah blah. This was Pre-12 years old, When I became a teen I got a better grip on life... I figured I was still into cars and still wanted to go fast. I knew I would probably never own an exotic unless I got a good job in about 15-20 yrs.. Well, to tell you the truth I haven't been really to much into z's until recently. When I was 13 I got into MKIV Toyota Supras ALOT. I even joined a forum a while back, but didnt post that much. I originally wanted a supra mkIV as my first car. Well when I talked to the parents about it they didnt like the idea of a new driver driving a twin turbod supra.. I remember back 3 years ago I was shopping around and found a supra mkIV for $4,000!! No joke! Tried to convince my parents to get it but they wouldn't budge. The fact that They would be helping me pay for it and they didnt want me driving it in the first place didnt help things. Well nothing ever happend after this and the idea faded... My dad has always owned z's but he never modified them, so I always thought they had a low aftermarket support. Well one day alittle over a couple years back my grandpa gives my dad his 260z. It is not running and the carbs didnt function properly, had alot of problems. Well we decided to get it running with a 4 barrel carb and a new gas tank, and drove it up here. Right when my dad got this car he always talked about passing it on to me but I again was unsure of the aftermarket support. So I went on google and searched for s30 car mod websites, and you guys could probably guess what I happend to find first..... MSA!!! This is when it started hitting home that this is accually a decent project and I started to become intrigued by the project. Everything after that fell into place and this is where I'm at now. Noting that I got the car for free, I have had more money to spend on mods. The project is almost complete and I am ready to drive it!
  16. Hello, I have a come across a person trying to sell some injectors, He says they are "the same thing" as the Ford SVO 2.3L Turbo injectors but they come from a turbo coupe. Are these Barbed Injectors? Will they work with the stock 280zx turbo fuel rail?

  19. So the only necessary vacuum's are to the heater directional flaps, brake boost, and FPR? Are there any other smart additions to run for vacuum?

  21. So... you only need the charcoal canister if your car is being emissions tested? Can this be shaved and smoothed/rounded off? So I take it you run both of these to the FPR? Or does only one go to the fpr? What does the other do?
  22. I thought where I pointed out to what I thought was a FPR mount was wrong? Isnt it for some kind of ventilator? Also do you keep more "add-ons" when this intake is mated to a l28et? Where do you route the hose from your valvecover to? Someone told me it "hurts" the performance of the engine to run the K&N filter as some here do? Maybe thats not true?
  23. Ok now I feel like an idiot. What I thought was the FPR mount is accually some kind of ventilator mount? I noticed in another thread that what i thought was an "emissions related" add on accually goes to the carbon canister? Someone was saying it could be used for something more useful? Also the Ventilator... wth? I've never heard of one of these things? What is its purpose?
