  1. Meaningless comparison. Its been 18 months and a different shop/dyno. You can't compare the two dyno runs. Right now you've set a new baseline and you must tune from there.

Agreed... I thought when you had told me you said it was the same dyno. Dynojet to Dynojet can vary as different tuners use different correction factors. If it bothers you that much throw the stock intake and tb back on and do a few pulls. If you dont have one you can borrow mine. Also, Joe has ported 5.3L heads that raise compression so you can't compare them to your stock 241 heads.

  2. Hope to get heads today or tomorrow, a local machine shop is fixing them up right now, they are ported 300cfm int and 230 ex at 575 lift which should help the 5.7L breath some, and will raise the compression a little. So far my expense

    LS1 shortblock 800

    heads 1100-1200

coilpacks (free after i get the other stuff sold with it.

Now just need everything else, haha

Anyone use these valve covers, i think they look snazzy and the price isn't to bad.

What type of heads? 241, 243 aftermarket?

  3. I tried searching and guess I just couldn't find the right phrasing. I read a post not too long ago about a company making a module that when mated with the harness and ecm makes the engine and management standalone. I failed to subscribe at the time and I should have. Anyone else remember who is making this module, have you used it?

The stock pcm is completely programmable. Unless you are going pretty extreme no need to get an aftermarket programming module like Big Stuff 3.

  4. I am not sure what you mean by 'wet' or 'dry'.

When you do a compression test you want to do it dry first. Then you do a wet compression by pouring oil in from the spark plug hole. This temporarily seals the piston rings. If your wet compression is higher than the dry then that points to worn piston rings.

Vinh, cylinder 3 worries me a bit because it is a 20% jump in compression from dry to wet but LS1 motors are known to have wacky compression readings from the factory. Do you know how many miles are on the motor?

  5. the 4th race againts the built K20, stripped, trailered, had on some MT Slicks to my knowledge.

How "fully built" was the k20? The most power you can extract from an NA k20 is 275-280 and that's pushing it. Even the 5th race that integra would light the tires up from a 20 roll if he wasnt on at least drag radials. Nice kills though. Get them on video!

  6. Clive your not allowed to do the m3 Graphite...thats what im most likely painting my car! That or Gunmetal

I thought u were doing flat black?

Peter the car will be a dark grey or in the family. Everday when I am on the road I look for other colors I may like.

Go nismo 370z graphite lol. Geez I was leaning towards the dark grey from the altima for mine but if both of you are going grey then I'm just going to have to do blue or something.
