  1. height is equal of L6 genuine fits well under the hood because my engine is lowered with dry sump, same for the OHC No inspection , the block is L28, that's all
  2. In the place ! some more to do but progress !
  3. well yes , stock guides , just to make lower axes in the block, and the stock cover is modified to make some space, electric water pump ( davis Craig ) , and tensioner on the right side, in place of the water inlet ( spring and lock without oil pressure ) no need for oil pump drive or distributor for i put dry sump pump system and megasquirt ignition and injection EFI with yamaha bike itb's So simple and cheap , just a little of brain storming ! oh ! and a little joke for the head cover !! Lol !
  4. Dry sump pump system, with 36-1 crown for megasquirt efi de
  5. well old story , but MAG58 was right, mercedes M104 head is possible on a datsun L28 stroked , build is not over but we will see what happens soon bye bye Didier
  6. simpler, yes, but far less acurate, distributorless system is optimum
  7. Hi, you have to reopen your ecu and be sure your ignition out is wired, and you'll need some IGBT 's to control wasted sparks , with your cops ( are you sure your 300 zx ignitor is useful ? ) read the ms extra manual , every thing is avalaible . with a 36-1trigger wheel , you put 50 degres in the soft TS
  8. you said : No dice! We checked for spark and we have it. In Tuner Studio the only alert that I see is "Not RPM Synced" Im guessing that means MS is not getting a Tach Signal from EDIS? how did you checked spark, if you don't get tach signal ? Lazeum is right, test inversion of sensor, it could work . Are you sure the basics are right in TS ? good luck with EDIS , i switched to wasted cops and IGBT 's , i could not get good sparks with EDIS 6 but it was my fault (may be) ?
  9. the cheaper is to build your own multi layer copper head gasket , what i did , removable and no leak if well done . custom pistons ? after market pistons exist , some times need over boring the rod at the pin
  10. 89 mm with F54 would be rather safe , but not with P30 or other blocks my P30 from l26 was in the water at 89 mm , sleeves to come i did not sonic test my f54, i think for NA it's enough
  11. my F54 is bored to 90 mm , stock rods but much work on them, no problem for a NA engine , megasquirt injection and timing
  12. front cover without water pump
  13. The timing cover was removed and changed for a custom made in billet alloy I dont Know the power
  14. Hi, Already done years ago : 6 holes above exhaust pipes, and one big tube feeding water in reverse flow with an australian electric water pump Davis Craig. Absolutely no problem of over warming there are two little purging hoses in the upper roof of the head , for avoiding eventually steam , returning to the expansion tank excuse my bad english in my explanations Regards Didier PS : Peter Macdonnel built an amazing system like this on the Green Hornet , but no reverse flow
  15. The one and unique thing to Know is the total lenght from valve to Horn limit, looking for second harmonic at your rpm wanted, that's all,
  16. Hi, here my 260 2+2 just finished : rebored block F54 (90 mm) P90 head with cam, injection ITB's ( gsxr) mégasquirt/Edis 6 Dry sump pump, electric water pump davis craig, custom idler gear, OBX lsd, etc , etc , Big brakes front/rear all body parts in fiber glass/Polyester : front and rear hood, fenders, doors, front and rear , etc etc i made moulds myself . Gotti wheels 225/50/15 front ,,, 245/45/16 rear Plastidip with custom color, pearlizer finishing coat
  17. Well, i'm working on my Z sometimes, not so much anyway, i'll try to make photos of my pan, steering rack, etc ...as soon as possible
  18. I made my own oïl pan with a sheet of aluminium, with a Weaver bros dry sump pump system, and lowered the steering rack, and cross member,, so i am about 50 mm ( 2 ") lower . You have to realign the gear box bracket ( 25mm or 1") Of course, you have to modify the steering geometry to avoid any " bump steering" on such a bad suspension and steering system
  19. OK,Matt, I have read everything, and i have the solution : Go for injection .......
  20. Not sold , and not relisted ...what's the future of this head ? who knows ?
  21. I swapped the two antic fusible links with a modern fuse box Peugeot . 4 x 30 amps blade fuses in a little box. very smart and reliable some pics :
