Hey man, nice to have ya aboard with the Z's hehe. My bro just got a 71 510 2dr.. if you could point us too some good resources it would be much appreciated, we have found alot just through searches and stuff butt it would suck to have missed a great one! hah she doesnt have an engine so itll probably get a vg30 or a ka right quick.. any idea if anyone has squeezed an L6 in? heh Thanks, Sam

Not sure if this has been brought up befor but what was the $$ of the carbon fibre dash? Are they still making them at pdk? I saw a email address attached to the pic but do they have a website? Thanks in advance, Sam

I had a set of american racing made ones on my 5.0 'stang.. Those can usually be found pretty easily.

Recivied my order very quick.. Havent bolted mine up yet but the machine/finish work is all great.. Hats and rotors went together smoothly. I also recently got an email from juan saying he was upgrading some of the hardware for the kit (nuts and/or washers) and that he would be sending me some new bits to replace my old bits ( i doubt there would have been any problems with the kit as i have it now.. but ya can never be too safe). I am very much looking forward to gettin it all mounted up aswell as the rear setup whens it goes into production. Hope this helps.. im sure there is someone around who already has the kit all bolted up who can chime in to give a seat of the pants report.

These guys were about the least expensive i could find for the parts i needed to go along with my shiny new jsk brake kit... I emailed first to make sure the items i needed were in stock.. got a prompt reply and ordered. Total time from the first contact email to delivery was 3 or 4 days by ground ups california --> illinois. Needless to say i was a very happy camper and will be doing buisness with these guys again. Just a heads up for anyone who is lookin for brakes or race equipment.. soo many times you hear about people getting burned by this company or that one.. just wanted to post my good experience!

Jwink25.. Thanks for all the info, hadnt seen that build up before but im muscle car mag fan so ive seen a few builds like that. I had seen that alsil was makin mounts in previous posts but havent decided yet weather i wanted to go with a block plate or a cradle set up, it is nice having options tho.. The 351lightning has tubed block huggers on it already also so thats a bonus! hehe Thanks again, Sam

Im not sure if it has a H.O. attached to it.. but i would guess yes.. its an efi set up very similar to the 302h.o. efi mustang.. the numbers i have seen for it put the hp around 280 with 340 ft.lbs tq (poor rear tires!) im still debating on this motor or starting with a fresh rebuild/stroke for a 302 or 351 hehe.. either way it should be fun

I was hunting around for a 351 to build up for my Z when i came across a low mileage 351 lightning motor with all accesorys and full harness for 1k$... I really was looking foward to finally building up a motor but some things you just cant pass up.. Anyone have any experience with these motors.. reliability, tune-ability etc..? Im gonna hit the net now.. just wanted to check in here first.. hopefully get some good info tonight.. and maybe have a new motor tommarow

Of all the things to break... did it totally grenade, or just the mounting part shear from the splined part? that sucks..

I dont think the wieght distribution thing would be too bad but i guess there is no way to know for sure with out mocking it up =/ As for the passenger room issue i dont imagine it could be too awful since the scanned pics of a z with awd are of a jdm rhd z and even if it was tight it still couldnt be much worse than a miata hah! reworking the front suspension should be the interesting part either with gt-r bits or something else. anyway, thanks again for the reply, i was begining to wonder.. hehe
