LMAO... you gave good advice Jon; everything here should be taken with a grain (or two) of salt. The best advice is for JSM to talk to a financial consultant or trusted (experienced) friend if he's on the fence. I bought my house in `93 @ ~7.5% and never refinanced but got a boat load of equity in it--actually considering an addition.
-
Smart move.. I too agree with Jon. What little equity (if any) you do have would be a wash and you'd be starting over on the principal for 1% finance reduction? Albiet, with the additional money you'd drop on the principal w/ the new loan rate would eventually catch up; however, you have a good rate as it is and I feel it's a little too risky with the state of the economy right now. The biggest mistake young folks make refinancing a house is rolling their other loans, i.e., vehicle, boat, etc into the new loan and now those assets are tied to the property and could stand to lose everything on a foreclosure.

He broke the law, you didn't; if it was me, I'd do it again with a clear conscience. However, if you were just stuborn and didn't move over to allow him to pass well, then... Here in FL there is a move-over law that you can be ticketed for staying in the hammer lane if a faster vehicle is behind you and you can safely change lanes to allow them to pass.
-
lol... that's cold but I'm the same way. I will brake check you so be warned! Something about the vehicle getting all squirrelly when they see the lights come on tickles my funny bone. What I hate worse is those in a hurry at a red light that insist on creeping up on your bumper to push you along. In which case, I like to rev the engine and do a semi-jack rabbit start then let off and take my time while the other lane moves quicker. When the car behind me gets frustrated and sees a break to shoot around me, I blow him away and wait for them at the next light... ROFLMAO.

Thanks! I don't know what possessed Datsun/Nissan to change to 260/280Z(X) fender badges. Granted, I should have put more thought into placement (may be a little too close to the stripes) but like the Tokico graphics: 280Z side stripes with 240Z fender badges

New Z purchase... Where do I look for rust?

You did good! Presuming this guy didn't weasel out on you too... heh Dude, you seriously gave out your password? I have some swampland for sale in south FL ready for development if you're interested. j/k -
Click on the 'here' link in the original post to see blown up... yea, I was leaning towards the 240Z bumpers and I'm almost certain at least for the rear. As for the front it's a coin toss between MSA's Type III or the 240Z bumper w/ CF BRE air dam(?). I also like the BRE spoiler and leaning towards CF for that too... reason: I really don't want to mess with finding a good shop to match the paint so will most likely go with the CF (240Z) BRE look. The only other rear bumper I like would be the (older/vintage) split corvette bumpers but they're pricey. Btw--not only is this a DD it's also a show car.

Thanks man! One other note about the 280Z hood stickers: they will probably come off when I install the vented inspection lids (painted black?) from MSA.

Actually, I forgot about the 280Z hood vinyls... I too am on the fence about them. I had originally thought of running a euro off-set black racing stripe (wide+narrow) the entire length of the car but was told it was too much and besides, the hand-painted pinstripes would be 'in the way' and wouldn't look right. My intent was the wider of the euro off-set stripes would fall across the vent w/ enough width to change the 280Z hood graphic on that side white (on black)... <--- cheesy(?). Thanks on the fender badges! I may have got ripped off (new $65./pr shipped) but was adamant about the 240Z fender badges w/ the side stripes. I was looking for comments on the grill badge as well... you have to click the members link to see it full size for a closer look. I'm kinda on the fence w/ that too: .....Edit: Grill Badge Click on image to view larger

240zt Paint, HELP ME PICK A BLUE! POST pics of your blue Z

No way... #1. Porsche Lapis Blue hands down. Do it! -
Hey guys (northern for y'all), I re-badged my 280Z when I added the (MSA) GT side stripes and looking for some constructive criticism. I held out for a new set of 240Z fender badges and also replaced the 'Datsun' hood emblem with the 'Z' emblem--only for the simple fact I liked the 'Datsun' grill emblem which I believe is from a D-21 P/U (not sure). .....Edit: picture hyperlink 280Z Re-Badged (Click on image to view larger) The Florida sun was very bright today (bad for pictures) so you can't make out the 'Z' hood emblem but the grill badge shows Ok. Tell me what you think... did I over do it? The next add is the vented inspection lids from MSA that will be painted black to match the hood vents. (guess I'll have to change my sig again... ha) I also plan to get 'Z' center caps to replace the ARs. Thanks,

Uhhhh... careful there, read the directions as I think there is a recommended daily dosage. I think you can actually do damage if over done more than the recommend 'daily allowance'. And yes, don't be a typical dude and just look at the pictures... read the instructions thoroughly before use. You have to blow your nose to get as much out as you can before using the nasal rinse. Then repeat blowing after rinse to clear the passages. There is a preferred 'angle of attack' that if done properly won't get any solution down the throat or up the ear canals. It's truely an art!

Is this a self-diagnosis? You may have a sinus infection... if your mucus is colored (green, yellow, brown, etc) then you probably do and need antibiotics (I'm not a doctor but speak from experience).

Just do it! Granted, it is weird but you just have to follow the directions and relax; you won't drown and feels incredible when done correctly... imagine the warm saline solution cleaning all that crap out of your head and flushing it down the drain. You will breath better!
-
I've never been able to forgive myself for that, poor kid went flying about 15ft... I sure hope it wasn't you (circa 1976) You folks that are reluctant to try the sinus rinse don't know what you're missing... instant relief if you suffer from allergies, work in a dusty environment, etc. You guys that work in a garage could benefit from this also; TRY IT already...

We need to play poker sometime. j/k That's really too bad and I feel for you; however, it's just a sign... like my momma always told me: "Good things come to those who wait"! You'll find just as good if not a better deal I'm sure. Chin up... -
Cool, thanks! I'll add it to my list then.
