thanks for the positive feedback on the paintjob, i also can't wait until it been put back together =) the painjob costed about 750$us, 2-3 coats of paint and the same with the clearcoat. this year i will finally put on the covers for the headlights that i bought almost 2 years ago... the this winter i will probably change the headlight to lights from a nissan S15 (much nicer!) and also so will i build me some diod rearlights. =) I will update you on the progress of the interiod.

The interior will look something like this. in the trunk there will be a new floor that covers the Audiobahn amp (with a hole cut up so that you can see it, and also some lightning on it) I will also cut up a hole in the back of the subwoofer box and put some lightning there so that you can se the 15" Audiobahn Subwoofer work =) http://photobucket.com/albums/v405/sir_Daniel/?action=view&current=P1010160.jpg it's not finnished in the trunk, but i haven't got a more recent updated picture of it, more comes tomorrow =) Where the backseat one was i've replaced it (hence you could hardly ride there anyway) with a new subwoofer box, i've build covers to make a smooth brake between the box and the rest of the interior (based on the original covers) the subwooferbox will be painted in the cars new paint and the covers will be covered with black vinyl. the armrest between the seats has been changed/modified to connect to the subwooferbox and the lower part of it will also be painted in the cars new pain, while the lid will be covered with black vinyl. http://photobucket.com/albums/v405/sir_Daniel/?action=view&current=P1010154.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/v405/sir_Daniel/?action=view&current=cover7.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/v405/sir_Daniel/?action=view&current=cover13.jpg the dash will be rebuild, but not now, that will be this winter when a few more speakers will take place there and some monitors =)

I finally got on the new paint last weekend. It looks just WOUNDERFUL! it's an audi greenbase that we mixed with some gold, so int the sun does it change from green to gold. SO NICE!!! I'm just waiting to get the interior done aswell so that i can get the car started and get it ready for the road. pictures of the paint: The interior is another chapter, i can say that it will stick out from the ordinary cars.

but it's much funnier to do it your self. the best thing with plastic is that if you're not pelased you just sand it down and start over again feel free to ask if you want to know something and i'll see if i can help you

the room that i have between my leg and the speaker is about 1-2" depending on how you sit in the seat i'g going to rebuild my Dashboars during the winter so i can make room for a 4" coax in bouth sides of it... then i'll probably have to move the gauges, but why not... 2 friends of mine (that's in the same carsound team as me PM Competition Team) has rebuild their dashboards Abbe got a BMW m3 wich i won EMMA with this year, jens got a Saab 900ng (some pic's http://www.germundsjo.com/MADCarsound/byggen.html ) so we'll see what will happend during this winter

i need to get a set of doorseals/weatherstripps (or what it's called) for my 280zx 2+2, where can i get that (as cheap as posible) i've checked zcarparts and i thought that they were a bit expencive... anyone that has them in good condition that wants to sell them to me??

the graphic's that i'm going to put on after the paint will be much more discret, and i've also got a sponsor that will make the new graphics.....

anyone that feels to mod the car in their computer?

i've got my 280zx for 1.5 years now... when i bought it, it was a car that had been standing outdoor for almost 5 years, so there was some rust on it but i sanded it down and it got a new paint (volvo's ocean race)... some graphic's a aluwing (looking for a wing/spoiler that fitt's better) new rims HID lights from e-bay aerokit from zcarparts.com new exhaust (2.5" with a japmuffler) and so on, more or less a brand new car... i'm going to compete in caraudio so the car got a decent audiosystem, consisting of: a alpine HU, alpine speakers, macrom amplifiers and a audiobahn subwoofer.... i put the 6.5" speakers in the doors now have i started to build a box for the subwoofer where the backseat ones was and also started to mold in the "box" between the seats so it will "melt into" the subwoofer box (don't know the english name for it) i'm going to mold the dashboard to be able to fitt 4" speakers there and my 7" tft screen... i've also started to sand down the car to get a new paint on it, some jerk scratched it with a key on the left side of the roof and left fender... i'm thinking about to paint it greenmetallic, but is there someone that would like to make a photoshop experiment with different colours, design and graphics?
