Searched and looked through some aftermarket part suppliers and didnt really find anything that increased steering angle. Was wondering if anyone has done anything to increase steering angle on their z. Thanks.

Ive helped install an lsd on a friends 240sx, although I didnt really help when he swapped the gear to the lsd unit. The problem is, that I sometimes get inconsistent information that throws me off. Anyhow, If you have any pictures of what this spacer stuff is id appreciate it. Im picturing a threaded tube with threading on the outside, so i would cut up pieces of that. Id then put the 10mm bolt through the gear, then put the threaded tubing on, then tighten that to the 12mm lsd? If thats completely wrong i might need a crappy ms paint picture. I appreciate the help.

Sob story: About a month ago i took apart my rear end, I then tried to order an lsd for it. I first tried for a powerbrute lsd, but they have stopped making r200 10mm lsds. I then tried a nismo r200 10mm lsd from raretrick and courtesy nissan, they discontinued those. Bitter about having an old car I put my open differential back in, promising myself I would sell this rustbucket and get something newer with aftermarket. When I put it all together and test drove it, I sort of realized why I put up with this crap and I intend to continue the quest of getting an lsd. So, I have a 76 280z with an r200 diff with 10mm bolts. What do I need to do to get an lsd? Is my only option to get a z31 turbo diff? what axles? Is it at all possible to put a lsd unit in my r200? Is it possible to swap in a 240sx differential? what axles? Id like to keep the total under 1k$ so no quaife or super swaps. Also, im a differential noob so when you start talking about shims and backlash spacing or whatever you kinda confuse me, so go easy on the tech speak. Thank you very much.

I understood 50% of what you said. Could you explain it again. Also, what would I need to get the 12mm version to work with my differential? Could I just get the 12mm ring gear and bolt it onto the 12mm lsd and throw that in my r200 that initial used a gear with 10mm bolts?

I'm really sorry I have to make this post, but I gotta go to class, and i'm trying to get an lsd unit by this weekend. I just tried differential.com and they are out of 10mm r200 lsd units. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other websites selling simular clutch type lsd's. Thank you very much.

Guessing something like a fuel pressure regulator. Also what is the threaded peice for? Is it just to bolt it down or does something important go there? Thanks.

Can I take this stuff off? Will it effect the car at all? Mainly just want to take off the char canister and the yellow bottle thing. Just trying to declutter my engine bay and take out anything I dont need. Thanks.

Your stock 75 motor has a 8.3:1 comp ratio. Dan Baldwin, are you sure that is what the comp ratio will be raised to? Thought it was in the 10s:1, dont know for sure, just asking. Thought there was some stock head/block combo that raised compression to above 10.

Place the 75 280z head on the 280zx block. If you could read off the head stamp someone could probally find the compression that would make. Reason being is that the 280zx block has flat top pistons that allow for higher compression. And I believe the 75 280z head has a smaller dome making higher compression when matched with the 280zx block.

The z's rear susp is pretty sucky for drifting, ill elaborate a little more, gotta go to work.

I was wondering if anyone knew the width and offset of this wheel, not really sure if its a datsun wheel as I have seen it on an old toyota van before. Thanks for your help.

What I'm mainly wondering is if it is a rebadged nismo r200 lsd or if it is basically a stock z31 turbo lsd. I guess Ill call again tommorrow and ask if the salesman can research some more specs.

I called them and asked them if they had any lsds for a z and he gave me a vague yes. He said that they sell one for 525.00 but did not really have specs on it, breakaway torque, # of clutches, 1way or 1.5way. I was wondering if anyone had any info on these type of lsd's. Thanks.

Would like to section my front strut housings and was wondering if anyone knew what kind of tokico shocks would fit? I've heard of mr2 rears, but wasnt sure if it meant mk1 or mk2. Also would any modification be need to make them work. Thanks.

Could you section the struts under the spring perch and use the stock springs etc.? I currently have tokico springs and shocks, my plan is that atm I have my strut housings off the car, so what I would like to do is get them shortened so later in about 2 months I dont have to worry about doing it when I put on coilovers.

Do you take the metal out above the spring perch or below? Just saw some pictures of someone doing it above and was wonder what the difference would be between below and above.

also, would a 280zx housing work and does it matter what side I get?

Not sure what you mean, I believe the wheel bearings are fine because they showed no play when I would giggle on the wheel. Also, I rotated the hub around and it all measured about the same. Dont know if any of these help your question, I guess Ill be calling around junkyards this week. Anyone know how much one these should cost, also should I get the control arm to? Because I've heard its hard to seperate the housing from the control arm for some reason, although I havent really tried. Thanks.
